Every blood donor is a hero!

On the 12th of June Hoa Sen University, the American Chamber of commerce (AMCHAM), and the Vietnam Red Cross together celebrated World Blood Donor Day at the Hoa Sen Quang Trung Campus. On that meaningful day, 262 donors gathered consisting of students, student’s parents, faculty, and lecturers from the Hoa Sen community. We all conveyed our “awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products and to thank voluntary unpaid donors for their gift of life” said Nguyen Thi Mai Huong – Program Manager, AMCHAM VIETNAM.

At this day, the organizers had a precious chance to view the many generous faces of the heroes who donated their blood to serve others without reward. “They already saved the life of others. They also encouraged the organizers to work even harder” said Le Thi Van Anh – Student Activities Coordinator – Hoa Sen University

The activity began at 7:00 am and ended at 10:00 am on that day, and there were still many donors who would have liked to have taken part. With that display of growing enthusiam, we the organizers – Hoa Sen University, AMCHAM, and the Vietnam Red Cross, believe that we all successfully accomplished the 2012 World Blood Donor Day campaign, “Every blood donor is a hero”.
