HSU Law major students practice at the People’s Court of District 5 (HCMC)

In order to create favorable conditions for Law students to have the opportunity to approach the reality of the trial environment, on June 23, 2023, the Faculty of Social Sciences – Law HSU organized an internship program at the People’s Court of District 5, Ho Chi Minh City for more than 50 students.

After visiting the courtroom, the Law Student had a meeting with leaders of the District 5 People’s Court. At the meeting, Ms. Do Thi Ngoc Bich – Deputy Chief Justice of the People’s Court of District 5, Ho Chi Minh City and Ms. Le Linh Suong, the first-instance judge introduced an overview of the model and type of operation of the People’s Court of Vietnam in general and the People’s Court of District 5 in particular.

Ms. Le Linh Suong, primary judge answered questions from students about internship and working opportunities at the People’s Court.

In addition, students are provided with information on how to apply to the People’s Court; Requirements and standards of judicial titles: Clerk, judge and judge rank… At the same time, the students shared about the career path and difficulties in the process of sticking with the court of Deputy Chief Justice Do Thi Ngoc Bich.

In addition, the skills and knowledge needed to be equipped to work at the Court are also introduced to the students. In particular, during the exchange, Ms. Do Thi Ngoc Bich – Deputy Chief Justice of the People’s Court of District 5, Ho Chi Minh City answered many questions from students about the issues and conditions to become an intern at the Court for students to better understand the nature of work as well as the difficulties faced if students wish to work at the Court after graduation.

Practical career experience activities are always interested by the Board of Directors and leaders of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law and the enthusiastic participation of students. From that, it can be seen that the law training program of Hoa Sen University not only focuses on teaching theory in class but also emphasizes practical activities to help students have the opportunity to hone the knowledge and soft skills needed to improve themselves as well as promptly meet the actual job requirements after graduation.
