Signing of cooperation agreement between Hoa Sen University and Allied Telesis corp

On September 20, 2012 Hoa Sen University signed a cooperation agreement with Allied Telesis, a Japanese corporation specializing in supplying substructural network solutions to businesses all over the world.

The signing ceremony received the participation of Mr Amos Woo, District Sales Director of Allied Telesis Corp.; Mr Nguyen Gia Duc, Allied Telesis’s Representative in VN; Mr Do Hai Dong, Director representing Fine Star Co., Ltd. – the authorized distributor of Allied Telesis in VN; Associate Professor Bui Xuan An (Ph.D), Dean of Technological Science Department; Mr Luu Thanh Tra (Ph.D), Dean of Computer Network Department; and Mr NgoViet Phương, Head of Computer Network Program. Also present at this ceremony were Ms Nguyen Dao Hoang Yen, Manager of Student Support Department; and Mr Nguyen Luu Bao Doan, Manager of International Relations Department.

Through his speech at the signing ceremony, Associate Professor Bui Xuan An (Ph.D) – Dean of Technological Science Department of Hoa Sen University – presented to the partner the overview of the establishment and development of Hoa Sen University; and that of Technological Science Department; and he affirmed that this signing ceremony marked an important step in the cooperation between the University and Allied Telesis Corp.

Mr Luu Thanh Tra (Ph.D), Dean of Computer Network Department, added:“The cooperation between Hoa Sen University and Allied Telesis Corp. will bring a lot of practical benefits to both the University and businesses, especially to the task of improving the training quality, meeting the network science’s demands for highly qualified and professional workforce; simultaneously, narrowing the gap between the requirements of businesses and the qualifications of the graduates from Hoa Sen University.”

On behalf of Allied Telesis Corp., Mr Amos Woo said:“Our corporation will survey and support the technological information, practical products, experiments, and scholarships so as to create the study environment which is most advantageous and best equipped for the students of Computer Network Department of Hoa Sen University, bringing them a ready access to advanced technology so that they can get proper jobs right after their graduation …”

On the occasion of signing this bilateral cooperation agreement, Allied Telesis Corp. presented the Technological Science Department of Hoa Sen University with an original set of network practice to be used by Computer Network Department. This set consists of 2 routers, 2 switch layers2, and 1 switch layer; and its cost is some 120 million VND.

 As one of the major Departments of Hoa Sen University, the Technological Science Department has for many past years provided modern equipment, creative methods of teaching and teams of teaching professionals who are energetic, enthusiastic, and have gained a lot of experience from many advanced countries. In particular, this Department has increasingly promoted the cooperation relations with professional organizations, businesses for the purpose of technology transfer, training, and scientific research.
