Dmap app for people with disabilities launched

Ứng dụng Dmap dành cho Người khuyết tật

The HCM City Disabilities Research and Capacity Development Centre (DRD) and Hoa Sen University recently organised a launching ceremony for the Dmap app for people with disabilities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr Bui Tran Phuong, rector of the Hoa Sen University, thanks DRD for giving chances to carry out social responsibilities and use professional knowledge to serve community. She also called on everyone to build a society without barriers for people with disabilities.

Luu Thi Anh Loan, DRD’s head, said: “The app project was developed based on an access map developed in 2011 and 2012.”

The app is designed to help people with disabilities find places where they can easily meet friends, shop, take health examinations and take part in other activities. 

The bilingual IOS and Android app is offered in English and Vietnamese. Users of the app can also add addresses to the app themselves.
