“Kind Driver” project wins special prize at “Kind People in My Eyes Contest”

The Kind Driver Project won the special prize in the final round of the Kind People in My Eyes Contest last week held by Hoa Sen University’s General Education Program at Nguyen Van Trang Street, where the main campus is located. 

The university has one branch in Quang Trung Software Park. Many students take buses to the branch but the buses only take them to the park’s street entrance. They have to walk 1.5 kilometres to get to the university facility.

As part of the project, they no longer walk and are taken from the park’s street entrance to the university’s facility by student motorbike drivers.

Students of the accountancy faculty, Hai Chau, Ngoc Bich, Hong Yen, and Ngoc Chinh, created the project. They won a cash prize of VND 7 million (US$311).

The first prize of VND 3 million ($133) was given to “A New Life” Project created by Le Minh Thu and Nguyen Phuong Dung of the marketing faculty.The project aim was to change students’ awareness about addicts during their first year at university.

Attending the awards presentation ceremony, Hoang Duc Binh, head of the university’s communication and enrollment division, praised the projects’ goal of creating awareness about the value of kindness. Students can transfer this awareness into action at the university and in society as well, he said.
