On November 26, 2020, at Van Lang University, the Ministry of Education and Training held a conference to summarize the quality assurance and accreditation of universities and pedagogical colleges, as well as to discuss the directions and responsibilities for quality assurance and accreditation of universities and colleges in the 2021-2025 timeframe. On July 9, 2020, the Office of Testing – Quality Assurance hosted a consultation workshop on self-assessment of programs according to AUN-QA standards. Hoa Sen University (HSU) has always prioritized quality assurance throughout its development journey, with particular emphasis on the institutional self-assessment process to enhance academic quality. In 2018, HSU began its institutional-level self-assessment process following Circular 12 by the Ministry of Education and Training on May 19, 2017. The assessment team visited the university on November 8, 2019, to survey, interview, and observe its activities, and identified shortcomings and inappropriate evidence that the university needed to adjust before the official visit.
