Hoa Sen University hosts AUN-QA Quality Assessment for 07 Academic Programs in 2025
In the last two months of 2025, Hoa Sen University (HSU) successfully hosted the on-site AUN-QA Quality Assessment (ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance) for 07 academic programs. The assessment was conducted in two phases:
- Phase 1 (25–27/11/2025): Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Psychology, and Hotel Management
- Phase 2 (16–18/12/2025): Accounting, Finance and Banking, and Marketing

Within the assessment itinerary, the AUN-QA Assessor Teams conducted a comprehensive review of program documentation and supporting evidence submitted by the 07 assessed programs. In addition, the assessors carried out campus tours and engaged in in-depth interviews and discussions with key stakeholders, including faculty leadership, program directors, academic staff, support staff, students, alumni, and employer representatives. These activities provided a robust foundation for examining program implementation, analysing the current state of academic quality, and formulating constructive recommendations and improvement measures.
At the conclusion of the two assessments, the AUN-QA Assessor Teams acknowledged several notable strengths of the University. In particular, the programs are systematically designed in accordance with the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach, with clearly defined learning outcomes aligned to appropriate Bloom’s Taxonomy levels, and supported by systematic and well-structured learning outcome measurement plans. The curricula effectively support the development of essential soft skills such as teamwork, presentation, and communication. Moreover, student-centered teaching and learning approaches were highly appreciated, as they actively engage students through a wide range of learning activities such as seminars, classroom-based learning, field visits, internships, and various academic competitions. These were recognised as effective learning strategies that contribute to fostering lifelong learning competencies among students.

In addition, HSU’s academic and support staff were highly regarded for their professional qualifications, practical experience, strong sense of responsibility, and dedication to accompanying and supporting students throughout their learning journey. The University also maintains a diverse network of student clubs, experiential activities, and competitions, encouraging active student participation. At the same time, HSU has established and sustained strong, long-term partnerships with alumni and industry partners, thereby enhancing academic quality and improving the University’s responsiveness to societal and labour-market needs.

The successful completion of the on-site AUN-QA Quality Assessment for 07 academic programmes in 2025, together with the previous achievements in ACBSP, FIBAA, AUN-QA, and NEAS across various programs, demonstrates HSU’s committed and sustained efforts in quality assurance. These accomplishments serve as compelling evidence of the University’s dedication to academic excellence and further reinforce its position and reputation within the regional and international higher education landscape.
Based on the recommendations provided by AUN-QA, HSU will continue to respond with a spirit of openness and accountability, while remaining committed to continuous innovation and quality enhancement, with the strategic goal of becoming a leading university in Business, Management, Technology, and Creativity for both Vietnamese and international students.
