Behavioral Skills at School A Presentation by Hoa Sen University lecturers

On May 15, 2013 following Hoa Sen University’s Living Skill Instruction Program and contacts with high schools during 2013, the Hoa Sen University (HSU) General Education Program Lecturers presented on the topic “Behavioral Skills at School” to over 400 students at Chon Thanh High School, Binh Phuoc Province Hall, Chon Thanh District in Binh Phuoc Province.

Despite heavy rain, all the students were present. After the opening speech by Deputy President Nguyen Van Dien,  the 10th and 11th grade students brought excitement to the hall with their musical performances which they obviously had previously rehearsed very well.

Ms Phan Trinh Hoang Da Thy (MA) – a General Education Program lecturer at HSU – spoke about behavioral skills for two hours. Through some simple games, Ms Da Thy gently and fascinatingly conveyed a meaningful message regarding emotions, expressions, and attitudes as well as affections and the psychology of schoolboys and schoolgirls. Next, the students were given a problem to resolve who then had to find a solution. There was also a flip-flop fashion show which attracted the participation of many excited students. Many of the students received gifts for their excellent answers to the problem they were given and for their wonderful flip-flop performance.

Remarking on the workshop, many teachers from Chon Thanh High School said “This workshop was practical, essential and helpful to the students. Thanks to the workshop, they can gain more knowledge and experience to deal with the situations at school, and improve their behavioral skills.”

To mark the occasion of this event, Hoa Sen University offered several books, published by University Press, Hoa Sen University,, to the teachers and the students of Chon Thanh High School.
