International students excitedly “show off” Tet gifts from Hoa Sen University
Joining the bustling atmosphere of giving Tet gifts in recent days, international students studying at Hoa Sen University (HSU), are excited to express their interest in showing off their gifts given by the university.
International students enjoy being given HSU Tet gifts by the teacher
Every time Tet arrives, people’s hearts become more and more excited with different emotions and spirits. And the international students at Hoa Sen University are no exception.
Joining the exciting atmosphere of the year-end festival season to send off the previous year 2022 and welcome the new year 2023, at all HSU campuses a series of exciting Spring-style activities are taking place, notably “Together with HSU – Bring Tet home” activity with more than 10,000 gifts bringing congratulations and gratitude to students and parents.

Understanding the homesickness of international students when they have to live far away from their families and have to get used to the new lifestyle and culture in a foreign country, especially when the time of changing seasons is coming, Hoa Sen University has brought interesting surprises to them. Having completed the end-of-semester exam, the group of friends Léa Malfatti, Clara Dualé, and Emilie Da Cunha (France) had just walked out the exam room when they suddenly faced two Faculty deans waiting for them with gifts, which the friends joyfully received from them.

“I was amazed and touched by the university’s affection for me. I will bring this special gift back to France for my family”, shared Léa Malfatti, an international student from France. Tournier Romain, a student from France, could not hide his joy when receiving the gift from Hoa Sen University: “I sincerely appreciate the university for the gift. This shows that Hoa Sen truly cares about the students and families, especially the international students like us who are far away from home. Happy New Year.”

As for Chen, welcoming the New Year’s Eve and Lunar New Year in Vietnam brings him mixed emotions. “Studying at Hoa Sen University is a blessing to me because I feel like I’m at home. As Tet is coming to town, I wish everyone a pleasant new year and don’t forget to send best wishes to each other even though we are far away from our family because Tet always holds a special place in our hearts.”, said Chen Hsun-hsien.
Lunar New Year is one of the most important traditional festivals in Vietnamese culture. This is a reunion opportunity for everyone to look back on the past year and look forward to prosperity in the new year.

Studying in Vietnam, international students have the opportunity to experience unique cultural features through the Vietnamese Tet. In the 2022 – 2023 school year, HSU welcomes international students from many countries such as France, Finland, Taiwan, Japan,… to study at HSU under the Student Exchange Programme.
