The Institute of International Education and Global Engagement, Hoa Sen University announces the online event “Design Your Future: Discover DMU Graphic Design”, an in-depth introduction to the Graphic Design programme within the De Montfort University – HSU Vietnam international partnership program, taking place from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, 26th August 2026.
In a world increasingly shaped by visual communication, brand identity and aesthetic experience, Graphic Design is no longer simply a career choice. It is a core competency of our era. And in pursuing that competency with purpose and rigour, selecting the right academic programme from the outset is among the most consequential decisions a young creative can make.

A Direct Dialogue With Senior Lecturers From De Montfort University
This event brings together two senior lecturers from De Montfort University in Leicester, United Kingdom:
Anna Smalley, Senior Lecturer at De Montfort University, brings years of experience in design education delivered to UK academic standards, offering substantive insights into the teaching methodology and creative philosophy underpinning the programme.
William Wright, Senior Lecturer, Head of Graphic Design and Programme Leader at De Montfort University, is the individual directly responsible for building and shaping the Graphic Design curriculum that DMU-HSU Vietnam students are currently pursuing.
This represents a rare opportunity for attendees to engage directly with the very people who are crafting the programme, with no intermediaries and no filters.
Graphic Design At DMU-HSU Vietnam
The Graphic Design programme at DMU-HSU Vietnam is grounded in the creative educational philosophy of De Montfort University, where the rigour of UK artistic tradition is seamlessly integrated with high levels of practical application within real market contexts.
Through the Live Project model, students are directly involved in developing visual concepts, brand identity systems and creative projects alongside leading businesses and agencies throughout the course of their studies. Regular critique sessions cultivate professional-grade thinking, train students to receive and act upon constructive feedback, and continuously refine their output to meet real-world industry standards.
Upon graduation, students hold not only an Honours Bachelor’s Degree awarded directly by De Montfort University, but also a professional portfolio of sufficient calibre to compete in the international design market, alongside one year of practical experience accumulated within the programme itself.
