SEMINAR IC#1: Culture shock – It’s not personal to anyone

The world is becoming increasingly smaller and globalization is increasingly stronger, for that reason, intercultural communication (IC) is becoming increasingly important. Are you interested in exploring multidimensional perspectives on global culture to communicate more effectively? Have you ever heard of the phrase Cultural Shock? Some people think that culture shock is only for international students when they first set foot in a strange country with new things about language, lifestyle, customs, traditions, etc. or culture shock? only understand such limitations? The IC organizing committee of the Department of Liberal Education, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hoa Sen University respectfully invites you to participate in the first online seminar on the topic: ” Culture Shock – Nobody’s Story”: How to Build a Good Relationship? ” to share situations of “laughing until tears” when facing culture shock. In addition, attendees will also have the opportunity to listen to stories of “real people and real things” and exchange experiences in facing and resolving the problem of culture shock with speakers who have lived and studied. and worked in the UK, US, Japan, Australia, Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, and Vietnam.

PURPOSE OF THE SEMINAR

  • Understand the importance of culture shock and the stages of culture shock;
  • Exchange and share experiences about culture shock and how to cope with culture shock;
  • It helps, I be more aware of cross-cultural communication and communicate more effectively with people in life and at work.
