FOREIGN LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY EXAMINATION – Admissions for Master programs at Hoa Sen University, 3rd Batch in 2023

The Institute of Graduate Studies & Leadership at Hoa Sen University cordially announces the initiation of preparatory courses alongside the administration of the foreign language proficiency entrance examination. These endeavors are strategically devised to extend assistance to candidates who do not meet the stipulated criteria for exemption from the foreign language entrance requirement for the forthcoming Master’s programs in Business Administration (MBA) and English Language Studies (MAE), scheduled for batch 3/2023.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY EXAMINATION

  • Time: 13:30 – 15:30 November 18, 2023 (Candidates are required to arrive at the examination venue 30 minutes prior to the scheduled exam time to complete the necessary procedures.)
  • Exam duration: 90 minutes (14:00 – 15:30)
  • Test Format: The exam will consist of 60 multiple-choice questions covering grammar and vocabulary.
  • Venue: Hoa Sen University (08 Nguyen Van Trang, District 1, HCMC)

Foreign language review classes:

Foreign Language: English (only for MBA candidates), French and Chinese
Timetable: November 4 -14, 2023
Schedule: 4 sessions, totaling 12 periods, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Tuition fee 1.000.000 VNĐ
Platform: online (the class link will be provided to registered students before November 4, 2023)

  • Candidates are required to sign up an account and provide personal information at http://xettuyencaohoc.hoasen.edu.vn/. Detailed online registration instructions can be found here)
  • In the registration process: Choose “Foreign Language” in the Foreign Language Registration section and Select “Yes” in the Review Registration section.

  • Each ID card allows for only one application registration.
  • Candidates seeking to change their selected foreign language must notify the Institute of Education and Labor via email at caohoc@hoasen.edu.vn BEFORE March 10, 2024.

Payment Instructions:

Candidates are provided with two payment options:

  1. Payment at the School:
    • Accepted Methods: Cash, ATM card, or international cards (Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay, and JCB).
    • Visit the designated payment counter at the school during operating hours to complete the payment transaction.
  2. Bank Transfer:
    • Transfer the study fees to the school’s bank account using the following details:

Notes:

  • For bank transfers, candidates should include the following content: “Full name – Language Registration.”
  • Additionally, candidates have the option to consolidate payment for both tuition and application fees (2,000,000 VND). Please include the following details in the payment description: “Full name – Fee [Registration major] and Review fee [Foreign language].”
  • If candidates choose to pay fees directly at the school, they must first submit the Review Class Registration Form at the Institute of Graduate Studies & Leadership (Room 708) before proceeding to the Finance – Accounting Department (Room 103) for fee payment.


Important Information for Candidates:

  • Candidates applying for the Master’s program in English Language, who have graduated from another university with a requirement for an English certificate equivalent to B2, are requested to submit an English certificate in accordance with the Foreign Language Certificate Conversion Table. This certificate should align with level 4 or 6 as specified in the foreign language competency framework of the Ministry of Education and Training. Please note that the school does NOT conduct English tests or provide review sessions for these subjects.
  • In case there are insufficient registrations, as per the regulations stipulating a minimum of 5 students per class, the school reserves the right to refrain from opening the class. However, support materials will be provided for review. If a candidate has already paid the review tuition, the school will adjust the tuition fee upon admission.
