FROM HERE, GO BEYOND: K26 Students Begin Their Journey from HSU to the World
On September 17, 2026, the Faculty of Marketing – Communication at Hoa Sen University (HSU) welcomed its K26 freshmen at Aurora Hall, Nguyen Van Trang Campus, under the theme “From Here, Go Beyond.” More than a welcome event, the program conveyed a message to the new generation of students: their journey begins at HSU, while their learning, experiences and connections can extend far beyond the classroom and across borders.

From Here – Where the Journey Begins
The K26 Open Day began with “Một vòng Việt Nam” (A Journey Around Vietnam), performed by students of the Faculty of Marketing – Communication.
Beginning with Vietnam, the program introduced K26 students to the academic community that will accompany them throughout their university journey, including the Faculty leadership, Faculty Secretary, Program Directors and lecturers.

The Program Directors introduced the Faculty’s five academic programs: Marketing, Digital Marketing, Media Production Management, Multimedia Communication, and Public Relations, giving freshmen their first overview of the learning experiences and career pathways ahead.

But “From Here” is only the starting point.
Go Beyond – Connecting K26 with the World
International connections became part of the K26 experience from their very first Faculty event.
Welcome messages from Universiti Teknologi MARA (Malaysia) and State University of Jakarta (Indonesia), together with greetings from lecturers and alumni currently studying or working in the United States and Thailand, brought an international dimension directly into Aurora Hall.
The same spirit was reflected in the recognition of two outstanding recap videos from the Taiwan Field Trip 2026, celebrating how students transformed their international learning experiences into stories through media and communication.

From HSU Students to International Journeys
Another highlight was an alumni sharing session featuring Nguyen Le Uyen Thu, Dang Thuy Trang and Nguyen Huu Quynh Nhu.
Having once started their own journeys as students of the Faculty of Marketing – Communication, these alumni are now taking their work and careers beyond familiar boundaries.
Alumni from the Media Production Management program shared the journey of their works receiving recognition at film festivals in Singapore, while Nguyen Huu Quynh Nhu, also an alumna of the program, has completed her master’s degree and is currently working in Thailand.

Their stories gave K26 students a tangible picture of what “Go Beyond” can mean: a project created as a student can reach an international audience, while a journey that begins at HSU can continue across countries and cultures.
Connecting Education with Intellectual Property, Innovation and Digital Transformation
A major milestone of the K26 Open Day was the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Marketing – Communication and the Representative Office of the Intellectual Property Office of Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of Mr. Tran Giang Khue.
At the event, Mr. Khue highlighted the relevance of the partnership in the context of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation. The Resolution identifies science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as key drivers of national development and calls for improvements to intellectual property regulations and human resource development.

As Marketing, Digital Marketing and Communication increasingly intersect with technology, creative content, brands and digital platforms, intellectual property knowledge is becoming an important component of students’ professional preparation.
The partnership therefore creates a foundation for future knowledge-sharing, training and professional activities that can bring intellectual property closer to students throughout their education.
Beyond the Classroom
K26 students were also introduced to the Faculty’s student ecosystem, including the Youth Union – Student Association, MarHub, and signature competitions such as TVCreate, EOS and MiCatcher.

Even the Open Day minigame reflected the “Go Beyond” theme. Its prizes were souvenirs brought back by Faculty members from their travels, study programs and professional trips abroad.
Each small gift carried a story from somewhere in the world – and perhaps a glimpse of journeys that K26 students themselves may experience in the future.
From “Một vòng Việt Nam” to “A Million Dreams”
If “Một vòng Việt Nam” represented where the journey begins, “A Million Dreams”, performed by Faculty lecturers Tran Thi My Hanh and Nguyen Dinh Son, brought the story to a meaningful conclusion.

As the song filled Aurora Hall, the LED screen displayed images of Faculty members studying, working and travelling in different parts of the world.
These images represented more than the places their lecturers had visited. They reflected the educational spirit behind From Here, Go Beyond: lecturers are there not only to teach, but also to accompany students as they build the knowledge, experience and confidence to move beyond familiar boundaries.
From “Một vòng Việt Nam” to “A Million Dreams,” from alumni bringing their creative work to international stages to new institutional and professional partnerships, the entire Open Day carried one consistent message:
FROM HERE – the journey begins at the Faculty of Marketing – Communication, Hoa Sen University.
GO BEYOND – from here, the world can become part of every student’s learning and growth.
For K26, September 17, 2026 was therefore more than a welcome day.
It was the beginning of something bigger. FROM HERE, GO BEYOND.
