MICATCHER 2026: WHERE YOUNG PEOPLE LEARN TO TRUST THEIR OWN VOICE

Not everyone who steps onto a stage dreams of becoming a professional host. But for many young people, holding a microphone, speaking confidently in front of an audience, and expressing themselves can already be a meaningful beginning.

That spirit was at the heart of MiCatcher 2026, the fourth season of the competition, held under the theme “Where Hidden Depths Begin.”

More than a hosting competition

From improvisation challenges to stage interaction and audience engagement, the Grand Finale was not simply about finding the best MC. It was also a journey where contestants learned how to manage pressure, communicate confidently, and express their own personalities on stage.

One of the most memorable highlights of this season was the participation of Võ Hà Tuyết Nhi, an 11th-grade student from Mac Dinh Chi High School and also the youngest contestant of the competition. Despite competing alongside university students, Tuyết Nhi impressed both judges and audiences with her confidence and stage presence. She was awarded a scholarship from Sun&Moon Academy to continue developing her hosting skills.

A real-world learning environment for HSU students

Beyond the competition itself, MiCatcher also reflects Hoa Sen University’s practice-oriented educational approach.

The entire event was organized and operated by students from the Faculty of Marketing – Communication under the mentorship of Public Relations lecturers. From media planning and sponsorship coordination to stage management and event execution, students were directly involved in every stage of the project.

This hands-on approach allows students not only to study communication theories but also to experience the realities of working in the media and event industry while still at university.

A stage where young people begin to speak up

In today’s communication industry, confidence, public speaking, and personal branding are increasingly important skills for young professionals. Through MiCatcher, participants not only improved their hosting abilities but also learned how to communicate, connect, and confidently express themselves in front of an audience. Because sometimes, the most important thing is not being the best speaker on stage. It is having the courage to let your own voice be heard.
