DMU-HSU Campus Tour: UKA Bà Rịa and VASS Students Experience a Day of University Life at HSU

On March 6, 2026, Hoa Sen University welcomed two groups of students from the UK Academy – International Bilingual School in Ba Ria and the Vietnamese American School System for the DMU–HSU Campus Tour program. The one-day campus experience allowed students to explore Hoa Sen University’s applied learning environment, discover modern educational approaches, and gain greater insight into their future academic pathways.

A Day Immersed in HSU’s Dynamic Learning Environment

A vibrant atmosphere filled the Hoa Sen University campus as students from the UK Academy – International Bilingual School in Ba Ria (UKA Bà Rịa) and the Vietnamese American School System (VASS) began exploring the university. The DMU–HSU Campus Tour program allowed students to experience academic life at an applied university, where learning was closely integrated with practical application and real-world experience.

During the Campus Tour, students explored a range of learning and student spaces at HSU, including classrooms, study areas, and common areas. Furthermore, each stop showcased a dynamic university environment featuring modern learning facilities, creative spaces, and an open atmosphere that fosters student initiative.

“Developing CV and Interview Skills for Career Success” Workshop

During the workshop “Crafting a Strong CV and Handling Tough Interview Questions”, Dr. Phan Gia Han, a lecturer at HSU, shared practical insights with students.

Using real-life scenarios and a relatable approach, the workshop helped students gain a deeper understanding of the importance of a CV. Instead of just listing achievements, a CV became a personal story, allowing each person to showcase their strengths, experiences, and future goals.

Students also gained essential interview skills to confidently present themselves in professional settings. By sharing strategies for maintaining confidence, answering tough questions, and highlighting personality in professional settings, the workshop encouraged students to view interviews as platforms for self-expression.

Students who encountered these skills for the first time were enthusiastic about discovering that career readiness could begin well before graduation.

Experience of Learning Activities across HSU Faculties

After the workshop, students continued their journey of exploration at the faculty booths, including Languages – Psychology, Technology, Law, and Business.

At each booth, HSU faculty members and students hosted engaging hands-on activities. UKA and VASS students experienced realistic learning scenarios, explored each program’s curriculum, and interacted directly with current students to gain a firsthand vision of university life.

These experiences helped students gain a deeper understanding of how university programs are designed to be application-oriented, with knowledge delivered through projects, discussions, and hands-on activities.

Discovering the UK-Standard DMU–HSU Program at HSU

As part of the program, UKA and VASS students learned about the DMU–HSU program, a partnership that brings UK educational standards to Viet Nam.

Additionally, they had a chance to explore learning methods, experience a vibrant international learning environment, and discover opportunities for global integration. Through the program, they also gained opportunities to explore and gain clarity and inspiration for planning their future academic paths through international programs in Viet Nam.

The one-day campus experience at HSU not only offers exciting activities but also provides students with a practical perspective on the university environment.
