Immersive Learning in Supply Chain and Logistics Operations Across the Mekong Delta
On June 20 – 21, 2026, students from the Faculty of Logistics and International Trade at Hoa Sen University (HSU) participated in an experiential learning program in Can Tho City, gaining firsthand insights into logistics operations, supply chain management, and the unique economic characteristics of the Mekong Delta region.
Designed to bridge theory and practice, the program provided students with opportunities to explore logistics operations in the Mekong Delta, a region of strategic importance to Viet Nam’s agricultural supply chains and inland waterway transportation. The experience allowed students to observe industry practices firsthand, engage with business operations, and gain valuable insights into the competencies required for future professional development.
During the experiential learning at Can Tho City, HSU students explored operations at TG Fishery Holdings Corporation, Co May Company Limited, and Tan Cang – Cai Cui Terminal, gaining exposure to diverse aspects of production, processing, distribution, and logistics management.
By witnessing industry operations firsthand, they were able to bridge the gap between theory and practice, gaining valuable insights into how supply chains function in real business environments. The experience also highlighted the critical role of logistics in creating value, improving efficiency, and driving regional economic growth.

Experiencing the Vibrant Trading Culture of Southwestern Viet Nam
Beyond learning about logistics operations, HSU students had the opportunity to experience the vibrant trading culture of the Mekong Delta through visits to the Cai Rang Floating Market and local craft villages. These activities revealed how centuries-old trading traditions continue to influence economic activities and logistics practices in the region.
The experience allowed them to view logistics through a wider vision, connecting supply chain concepts with local realities and gaining deeper insights into the opportunities and complexities of agricultural logistics in Viet Nam.
