HSU partners with HCMC-DXCenter to boost Digital Data Ecosystem and Human Resources
On April 15, 2026, Hoa Sen University officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Exchange Center for 2026 – 2027, marking the start of a comprehensive partnership focused on training, research, and data ecosystem development.
The event brought together managers, technology experts, lecturers, and business representatives to share insights on digital transformation trends and the urgent need for skilled human resources in the evolving digital landscape.
Uniting training, research, and industry practice in the data age
On April 15, 2026, Hoa Sen University (HSU) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the 2026 – 2027 period with the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Exchange Center (HCMC-DXCenter).
The partnership reflects a shared vision to develop high-quality digital talent by combining the city’s workforce needs with HSU’s expertise in applied education and research.

Throughout the 2026 – 2027 partnership period, both sides will work together on impactful initiatives to shape the digital future:
- Nurturing a skilled digital workforce for the market;
- Driving research and accelerating technological applications in practice;
- Creating forums for collaboration through workshops and expert-business networking events;
- Developing a thriving innovation ecosystem connected to data and technology.
Through this initiative, HSU students access a hands-on learning environment that enhances their skills and adaptability in the fast-changing digital era.
Applied university strategy driven by digital transformation
At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Huy Nhut, President of HSU, highlighted the crucial role of higher education in preparing students with the competencies required to adapt to a rapidly evolving labor market.
“HSU aims to become a university that fosters critical thinking, promotes the practical application of knowledge, encourages innovation, and advances smart operational practices. Therefore, engagement with businesses, regulatory agencies, and the city’s development initiatives plays a vital role in our academic and training activities”, he noted.

As data and technology become the foundation for growth, HSU continues to pursue its applied university orientation while developing an innovation-driven educational ecosystem. The University strives to create an environment defined by liberal thinking, practice-oriented teaching, integrated innovation across the knowledge ecosystem, and intelligent management.


According to Ms. Vo Thi Trung Trinh, Director of HCMC-DXCenter, the center would collaborate with HSU by combining each side’s strengths to implement training-oriented initiatives. Furthermore, she pointed out that a key goal of the collaboration was to ensure students became job-ready immediately after graduation, while also offering opportunities for them to work directly at the Center. In addition, she expressed her hope that the HCMC-DXCenter and HSU partnership would play an active role in accelerating digital transformation in Ho Chi Minh City, supporting community development, and contributing to a more civilized digital society, while advancing both city and national digital transformation goals.

Through collaboration with regulatory bodies and businesses, students not only gain expanded learning opportunities but also access real-world challenges within the digital economy.
From data to growth: interdisciplinary insights from experts
Following the signing ceremony, the workshop “Digital Shift: Data as a Driver of Growth” delivered practical perspectives on how data drives governance and economic development. The session featured contributions from the following speakers and panelists:
- Mr. Nguyen Tran Phu Thinh, Deputy Director of HCMC-DXCenter;
- Mr. Pho Duc Giang, Deputy General Director of PwC Viet Nam Cybersecurity Services Company Limited;
- Mr. Vo Van Bang, Deputy General Director of DAT Group Joint Stock Company; and,
- Dr. Nguyen Huy Dat, Founder and Director of Quickom Technology Joint Stock Company.

During the workshop, experts explored emerging trends in data mining, the growing role of AI in decision-making, and the challenges of data governance, information security, and workforce development in the digital era.
Through these exchanges, students gain a clearer understanding of the digital transformation landscape while discovering new learning and career pathways for the future.
