As the Spring of the Year of the Red Horse (Binh Ngo) 2026 arrives, it brings new beginnings and a special joy as Hoa Sen University officially reaches its 35-year milestone of formation and development.

Looking back at the past Year of the Wood Snake (At Ty) 2025, the Faculty of Languages – Psychology is proud to be a vibrant piece of this 35-year journey. We have contributed a series of academic activities, corporate partnerships, international field trips, cultural exchanges, community projects, and highly practical academic playgrounds. These achievements are the crystallization of the efforts of generations of students, the dedication of the Faculty and University staff, and the trusted companionship of Parents and Partners. This bond has helped HSU cultivate talented and brave generations of students, ready to create real value for society.

On the occasion of the New Year 2026, the Faculty of Languages – Psychology wishes all lecturers, staff, students, parents, and partners a year of abundant health, prosperity, and the continued passion and resilience to achieve breakthroughs on every journey.

January 2025

  • Culture Day 2025: A practical project with 1,000 participants.
  • Scholarships: Awarded 10 “Chinese Excellence” scholarships (totaling 50,000,000 VND) sponsored by the Chinese Consulate for Chinese Linguistics and HSU students.
  • Tet Gifts: Distributed 737 Tet gift sets to students.
  • Culture Tour: Career orientation for students at 16 high schools.

February 2025

  • Academic Achievement: Two lecturers, Dr. Bui Yen Ngoc and M.A. Tran Ngoc Dung (English Linguistics), presented at the 21st CamTESOL Conference on English Language Teaching.
  • Culture Tour: Career orientation at 18 high schools.

March 2025

  • Workshop: “Navigating your future in English Language Studies: Alumni Insights On Concentration and Careers.”
  • Exchange Program: Interaction with students from Anjo Gakuen High School (Japan).
  • Awards: 07 Faculty students honored at the Ceremony for Outstanding Individuals and Collectives (AY 2024–2025).
  • Clubs: Launched Chinese Club at Nguyen Cong Tru High School (Batch 2) and Vo Thi Sau High School (Batch 1).
  • MOU: Signed with Kyungwoon University (South Korea).
  • Culture Tour: Career orientation at 20 high schools.

April 2025

  • HSU Experience Day: K-Open Day “Kimchi Festival” and Kickoff for Korean Linguistics major.
  • Culture Tour: Career orientation at 36 high schools.
  • Competition: English Linguistics students won 2 spots in the FINALS of the Inter-University English Competition “SPELL IN A NUTSHELL” 2025.

May 2025

  • HSU Experience Day: English Linguistics experience “Spell of Love x Harry Potter Edition.”
  • HSU Experience Day: Chinese Culture Experience – Dragon Boat Festival 2025.
  • Public Speaking: Runner-up in the Vietnamese Oratory Contest (Emulation Block 21).
  • Community: “Exam Review with You 2025” program for National High School Exam.
  • Scholarships: Awarded 10 “Chinese Excellence” scholarships sponsored by the Chinese Consulate for Chinese Linguistics students.
  • Competition: Participated in the “Chinese Bridge” (Hanyu Qiao) 2025.
  • Culture Tour: Career orientation at 10 high schools.

June 2025

  • MOU: Signed with Great Wall Chinese Center.
  • Competition: “Ring the Bell 2025” – English Linguistics project.
  • Workshops: * “How to Start Learning Chinese Effectively?”
    • “Decoding Sales & Marketing in Action.”
    • “Japanese Work Skills and Style.”
    • “Grooming & Professional Communication Skills.”
  • New Student Festival 2025.
  • Representation: M.A. Tran Thi Cam Tu and Dr. Ly Hong Dung represented HSU at the Taiwan Trade Association Congress.

July 2025

  • Graduation: The 42nd Graduation Ceremony for 119 students of English Linguistics and Japanese Studies.
  • Fieldtrip: “Oppo Company Tour 2025.”
  • Talkshow: “A Journey through China.”
  • International Exchange: M.A. Nguyen Minh Tri (Program Director of English Linguistics) was one of 4 Vietnamese representatives in the IVLP/Exchange Program at the University of Massachusetts Lowell (USA) sponsored by the US Embassy.

August 2025

  • Study Abroad: International experience and study program in Xiamen (China).
  • Talkshow: “A Journey through China.”
  • Seminar: “Theory and Practice of Teaching from a Chinese-Vietnamese Contrastive Linguistics Perspective.”
  • MOU: Signed with SHUTE University (Taiwan, China).

September 2025

  • Welcome Day 2025: Activities for new language students:
    • Afternoon Tea cultural experience (English Linguistics).
    • “Khai but – Bai su” (Calligraphy and Teacher honoring ceremony) for Chinese Linguistics.
    • Bookmark making and folk games (Korean Linguistics).
  • Scholarships: Awarded 14 scholarships (totaling 27,000,000 VND) to outstanding and new students.
  • MOU: Signed with 4 enterprises: Horizon TESOL, Betma English, OWL IELTS Phi Dang, and M-English.

October 2025

  • Literary Event: Dialogue with writer-screenwriter Liu Zhenyun: “A Conversation between Literature and Cinema” (Part of the 1st Vietnam-China Literary Exchange 2025).
  • Workshops: * “Introduction to TOPIK and Secrets to Mastering Korean.”
    • “From English major to a Career beyond Teaching.”
  • Research: M.A. Nguyen Minh Tri and 2 student groups presented at the National Scientific Conference: “Language Education Innovation in Vietnam: Sustainability, Internationalization, and Digital Transformation.”
  • Clubs: Kickoff for Chinese Clubs at Nguyen Hien HS, Nguyen Cong Tru HS (Batch 3), and Vo Thi Sau HS (Batch 2).

November 2025

  • Workshop: “Intercultural Communication Competence in the International Workplace.”
  • Competition: “The Next Educators 2025” – English Linguistics project with nearly 200 students from 36 universities in HCMC.
  • Champion: Student Le Nguyen Truc Loan won “The Next Educators 2025.”
  • Alumni: “Alumni Meeting 2025: Generation Bridge.”
  • HSU Awards 2025: * M.A. Tran Thi Cam Tu (Program Director of Chinese Linguistics) honored as Outstanding Program Director.
    • Dr. Bui Yen Ngoc (Lecturer in English Linguistics) honored as Exemplary University-level Lecturer.
  • Partnership: Free IELTS Mock Test organized by M-English at HSU.
  • Competition: “I’m a Singer 2025: Gratitude to the Teachers.”

  • Seminar: “Optimizing interaction and connection in our English classrooms through Language–SEL Activities.”
  • Diplomacy: HSU leaders and Chinese Linguistics students attended the Open Day of the Chinese Consulate in HCMC (75th Anniversary of Vietnam-China Diplomatic Relations).
  • Talkshow: “Korean Interpretation: The Profession & The Art.”
  • Graduation: New Graduates Day & Graduation Ceremony 2026.
  • MOU: Signed with I Can Read Center and Asian University (Taiwan, China).
  • Fieldtrip: Visit to the American Center (AC) – U.S. Consulate General.
  • Awards: 3rd Prize and Consolation Prize at “Inter-university English Challenge (ULaw).”
  • Social Award: Most Liked Video at the “Top Oratory (JCI)” competition.
  • Sports: Student Pham Huynh Phuong Nam (English Linguistics) won a Silver Medal in Men’s Tug of War (600kg) at the 33rd SEA Games.

January 2026

  • Study Abroad: International experience and study program in Yunnan (China).
  • Tet Gifts: Distributed 689 Tet gifts to Faculty students.
  • Exchange: Interaction programs with the University of Illinois (USA) and Daegu University (South Korea).
  • Workshop: “Practical Chinese CV Writing.”
  • Graduation: 107 Faculty students graduated.
  • Partnership: Cooperation program with Keduall (South Korea).
