Overview
Faculty of Languages – International Cultures was originally the Faculty of Foreign Languages in 2006. After the reconstruction of faculties, Faculty of Languages – International Cultures was established in 2021 under the direct management of HSU, including: Bachelor of English Language Studies The Bachelor of ELS Program was first introduced in 2006, including three concentrations/specializations: English Language Teaching (ELT) Translation-Interpretation (TI) Business English and Corporate Communication (BE&CC) Bachelor of Japanese Studies With a Bachelor of Japanese Studies, students develop near-fluent Japanese language skills along with an understanding of Japanese culture. The Faculty of Foreign Languages and Culture Studies has 5 programs, including English Language Teaching Program, Bachelor of ELS Dual Degree, Bachelor of English Language Studies, Foreign Languages Program and Bachelor of Japanese Studies. Below is the organizational chart of each program:
Student Support
LEARNING SUPPORT CENTER (LSC) LEARNING SUPPORT CENTER under the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities was established to support academic activities for students of all faculty majors. Why Us?
The Bachelor of English language training program with four majors, namely English Teaching, Translating and Interpreting, Business English, and Corporate Communication, is designed based on reference to training programs of universities. To ensure quality in today’s globalization trend, (i) all lecturers involved in teaching the program have a Master’s degree or higher and have studied at or graduated from foreign universities; (ii) the program is also evaluated and updated after four years of application, through a survey of opinions of businesses, alumni and students.
