HSU KOREAN LINGUISTICS STUDENTS ENGAGE IN INTERNATIONAL STARTUP CO-CREATION WITH DEAGU UNIVERSITY STUDENTS (SOUTH KOREA)
On January 26, 2026, students from the Faculty of Languages – Psychology at HSU participated in an international startup exchange and co-creation program with South Korean students. This was part of the M-Kampus Global Startup Program 2026 – a practical program for student startups organized by the HSU Center for Student Experience and Corporate Relations in collaboration with Mekonglink and Deagu University. The event served as a multicultural networking space where students directly exchanged ideas, worked in teams, and developed business concepts within the context of globalization and Artificial Intelligence.
With the goal of enabling students to confidently integrate internationally, the program encouraged open communication, respect for differences, and mutual learning. Throughout the event, HSU students confidently utilized both English and Korean for networking, group discussions, and presentations, demonstrating their linguistic proficiency, proactiveness, and adaptability in an international academic and professional environment.
The highlight of the program was the presentation of 5 startup ideas by the Vietnam – South Korea student teams, including:
- “Electric Vehicle Battery Solutions for Flooded Urban Areas”
- “Smart Agriculture Based on Real-time Data”
- “K-POP Characters and Pop-up Experience Spaces in Vietnam”
- “K-POP Experience Spaces: From Fandom to Business Model”
- “Digital Platform for Home-based Rehabilitation and Care”
In this collaboration, the South Korean students provided the initial concepts, while HSU students played a crucial role in adjusting and refining the models to fit the Vietnamese market. They also applied AI tools to build more practical and feasible business plans.

Through the process of presenting and defending their ideas before a Board of Judges—including Mr. Lee Dongin (Senior Researcher, Rise Project Group, Deagu University representative) and M.A. Nguyen Thị My Duyen (Lecturer, Faculty of Languages – Psychology, HSU)—students honed their innovative thinking, presentation skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities in a real-world context.

The program not only expanded international exchange opportunities for HSU students but also fostered a spirit of innovation, technological application, and global integration confidence—essential competencies for students ready to enter the global academic and professional workforce.
