Viet Nam – Japan Cultural Festival: Connecting HSU Students to Global Careers
Strengthening international partnerships while creating new opportunities for students, the Faculty of Languages and Psychology at Hoa Sen University signed cooperation agreements with two Vietnamese – Japanese businesses during the Viet Nam – Japan Cultural Festival. The partnerships are expected to create more opportunities for students to pursue international study, internships, and future careers. The festival also brought Japanese and Vietnamese cultures closer together through a series of engaging activities, reinforcing Hoa Sen University’s commitment to internationalization and experiential learning.
From Partnership to Career Opportunity
On June 26, 2026, the Faculty of Languages and Psychology at Hoa Sen University (HSU) signed cooperation agreements with IFK Translation and Education Company Limited and Takahiro Corporation, opening new pathways for students to access international internships and career opportunities.
The event marks a new milestone in enhancing university-industry collaboration, promoting practice-based education, and expanding career opportunities for students during their studies.
Through the partnership with IFK Translation and Education Company Limited, HSU students will gain access to paid internships in Japan. This partnership offers valuable international work experience and helps students improve their language proficiency, adapt to Japanese workplace culture, and develop practical skills that enhance their future employability.
Beyond internship opportunities, Takahiro Corporation provides diverse career opportunities in the Food and Beverage (F&B) industry, allowing students to engage directly with employers and prepare for long-term professional growth.
By strengthening its partnerships with industry, HSU continues to deliver a practice-oriented education that combines academic excellence with hands-on experience, empowering graduates to confidently enter both domestic and international workplaces.
Connecting Cultures Through Interactive Experiences
After the signing ceremony, the program continued with a variety of engaging Japanese cultural activities that attracted enthusiastic participation from students throughout the day.
Students were invited to immerse themselves in Japanese cultural traditions through interactive booths featuring:
- Traditional tea ceremony and matcha tasting;
- Ikebana floral artistry;
- Japanese Dango tasting experience;
- DIY Kanzashi flower making;
- Yukata and Kimono dressing;
- Kendama challenges and souvenir giveaways; and,
- Career networking with Japanese enterprises and recruiters.
More than a cultural celebration, the festival also created meaningful opportunities for students to connect with businesses, broadening their access to international exchange programs and multicultural professional environments.
