HSU Enhances International Collaboration to Increase Scholarship and U.S. Transfer Opportunities

On May 8, 2026, Hoa Sen University (HSU) held a working session with representatives from Angelo State University and the Ellacy Foundation to discuss strategic academic cooperation and international study opportunities for students. Representatives from all parties were present at the meeting.

Representing HSU were:

• Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tuan Duc, Vice President;
• Mr. Phu Truong Thang, M.A., Associate Dean of the Institute of International Education and Global Engagement.

Representing the Ellacy Foundation were:

• Mr. Cuong Nguyen, CEO;
• Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Hang, Admissions Director;
• Mr. Mai Trung Tai, Application & Visa Processing Specialist;
• Ms. Nguyen Thuy Duong, Admissions Consultant; and,
• Ms. Nguyen Phuong Mai, Admissions Consultant.

The delegation from Angelo State University was represented by Prof. Dr. Won-Jae Lee, Professor and Executive Director for Asian Relations to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Enhancing international study opportunities for students

With a partnership network spanning more than 100 universities worldwide, the Ellacy Foundation expands scholarship opportunities for HSU students, including partial and full tuition support.

Notably, Angelo State University offers a Business program accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), a prestigious recognition held by fewer than 6% of business schools worldwide. It is also accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), one of the most respected higher education accreditation bodies in the United States.

This cooperation gives HSU students access to internationally standardized education, strengthens their professional competencies and global adaptability, and offers a multicultural academic environment.
