Cross-Border Innovation: Hoa Sen University and Daegu University Students Co-Create Startups
On January 26, 2026, students from the Faculty of Languages – Psychology at Hoa Sen University took part in an international entrepreneurial exchange, collaborating with students from Daegu University (South Korea) to co-develop startup ideas. As part of the M-Kampus Global Startup Program 2026, the hands-on initiative connected students across borders to ideate, collaborate, and develop startup concepts under the guidance of academic and industry partners, in collaboration with Mekonglink Company Limited.
M-Kampus Global Startup Program 2026 – A Global Networking Space for Multicultural Startup Collaboration
On January 26, 2026, under the M-Kampus Global Startup Program 2026, Hoa Sen University (HSU) organized an international exchange learning activity with students from Daegu University (DU).
The program created a multicultural networking space where Vietnamese and Korean students directly exchanged ideas, collaborated in teams, and developed business concepts in the context of globalization and the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence. Through this experience, HSU students gained meaningful exposure to international entrepreneurial mindsets and a clearer understanding of how innovative ideas evolve within multinational contexts.

Driven by the goal of helping students confidently integrate into society, the program created an open space for cultural respect and mutual learning. Furthermore, through this, HSU students actively used English and Korean in discussions, teamwork, and idea presentations, turning language learning into real-world practice. Their linguistic flexibility, collaborative mindset, and adaptability showcased the readiness of HSU students to thrive in international academic and professional environments.

HSU Students’ Global Communication Skills
The highlight of the program was the presentation of five startup ideas from Vietnamese and Korean student groups, including:
- Electric vehicle battery solutions for flood-affected cities;
- Smart agriculture powered by real-time data;
- K-POP characters and immersive pop-up spaces in Viet Nam;
- Turning K-POP fandom into experience-based business models; and,
- Digital platforms for rehabilitation and home care.

In the collaborative working process, DU students proposed initial ideas, and HSU students led the adaptation and refinement of these concepts to align with the Vietnamese market. By integrating AI tools, DU and HSU students were able to build practical business plans with increased feasibility and real-world applicability.
International Learning Experiences and Integration Preparation of HSU Students
By presenting their ideas and engaging in Q&A sessions with a panel of experts, including Mr. Lee Dongin, Senior Researcher at the Rise Project Group, DU representatives, and Ms. Nguyen Thi My Duyen, MA, HSU Lecturer, students strengthened their innovative thinking, presentation skills, teamwork, and real-world problem-solving abilities.

The international exchange and startup co-creation program with DU reinforces HSU’s educational philosophy, bridging learning and real-world experience, translating knowledge into practice, nurturing innovation and creativity, and strengthening students’ integration capacity. This program serves as a crucial foundation for HSU students to develop readiness for a global learning and working environment, empowering them to confidently pursue ideas that create value for the community and society.
