Chinese Language Studies major is “hot” again: Revealing unlimited job opportunities

In the era of globalization, Chinese Language Studies is increasingly emerging as a “power language” alongside English, opening up diverse and attractive career opportunities both in Viet Nam and abroad.

To meet this growing demand, Hoa Sen University (HSU) has developed a highly practical and internationally oriented Chinese Language Studies program, equipping students not only with strong language proficiency but also with essential professional skills and the confidence to work in global markets.

Study and work internationally with two bachelor’s degrees

At HSU, Chinese language Studies is no longer a major that carries prejudices such as “heavy academics” or “difficulty finding a job after graduation”, but has become a launching pad for students to take on many “hot” job positions, confidently entering the global labor market.

The attractive points for GenZ of the Bachelor of Chinese Language Studies training program at HSU are: a Unique 4+[2+2] model, providing students with a comprehensive international study and work journey. Students will study for 4 years in Viet Nam. After graduation, students will have the opportunity to study for 2 more years in Taiwan for free to receive a second bachelor’s degree. While studying, students have 2 years of internship and work in Taiwan.

At HSU, students will follow modern trends by not only mastering language skills applicable across diverse fields but also immersing themselves in practical, varied cultural experiences from their very first year. Typically, students have valuable opportunities to participate in international cooperation projects, academic clubs, cultural experience activities, workshops, academic competitions, work as teaching assistants for community Chinese classes, and experience standardized internships at businesses.

Expanding Global Academic and Industry Partnerships

Recently, the Faculty of Languages – International Cultures at HSU has cooperated with many universities and enterprises in Taiwan, China, and the Taiwan Chamber of Commerce. Thanks to that, students can participate in academic exchange programs, exchange semesters, short-term courses, international summer camps, cognitive internships, graduation internships, and so on. Additionally, students also experience an international learning environment, practice Chinese, and expand cultural and social understanding.
