The shortlisting at the Times Higher Education Awards 2026 is a direct recognition of the positive impact generated by DMU’s Empowering University strategy, a bold and comprehensive educational reform that the University has implemented in recent years.

As part of this strategy, DMU became the first university in the United Kingdom to transition all undergraduate programmes to the Block Teaching model, redesigning 113 programmes of study, equivalent to 73% of the University’s entire programme portfolio, within just 11 months.
