DMU-HSU STUDENTS LEARN FROM LOUIS VUITTON EXPERTS AND EXPLORE CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN THE WORLD OF LUXURY BRANDS
On 22 July 2026, the “Louis Vuitton Info Session”, organised by the Institute of International Education and Global Engagement at Hoa Sen University (HSU), provided students from the DMU-HSU Vietnam programme with a valuable opportunity to learn, connect and engage directly with the Human Resources team of Louis Vuitton Vietnam.

More than simply a careers talk, the event opened the door for students to explore the luxury goods industry, gain first-hand insights into working for a globally renowned brand, and prepare themselves for future careers in an increasingly international professional landscape.
Learning from Louis Vuitton experts to better understand the luxury industry
The workshop featured Ms Huyen Le, HR Director of Louis Vuitton Vietnam, and Ms Yen Nhan, Assistant HR Manager at Louis Vuitton Vietnam and an HSU alumna.

Drawing on their extensive experience in human resource management at one of the world’s leading luxury fashion houses, the speakers shared valuable insights into the evolution of Louis Vuitton, the LVMH ecosystem, the distinctive characteristics of the luxury industry, global corporate culture, and the qualities, mindset and professional competencies sought in emerging talent.
Through real-life experiences and perspectives from industry professionals, students gained a deeper understanding of how an international luxury brand operates, the exceptionally high standards of customer service it upholds, its commitment to sustainable development, and the values that have established Louis Vuitton as one of the world’s most influential luxury brands. These practical insights complemented academic learning and provided knowledge that cannot easily be acquired through textbooks alone but is essential for students preparing to enter today’s competitive job market.
Beyond listening to the speakers, students actively engaged in discussions on employability skills, recruitment criteria, interview preparation, career progression within multinational organisations, and the increasingly demanding expectations of employers in the global labour market. The lively Q&A session encouraged meaningful dialogue and enabled participants to gain a clearer understanding of career pathways within the luxury brand sector.
Louis Vuitton Horizons – A talent development programme for future professionals at a luxury brand
One of the highlights of the workshop was the introduction of Louis Vuitton Horizons, the company’s talent development programme designed for young people who aspire to build successful careers in the luxury industry.

Notably, Hoa Sen University is one of the selected universities chosen by Louis Vuitton to introduce this programme. Through the session, students gained valuable insights into career pathways, international learning opportunities, and the brand’s talent development initiatives.
Direct access to information from industry professionals enabled students to better understand how global organisations identify, recruit, develop and retain high-potential talent. At the same time, the programme encouraged participants to take a proactive approach to planning their academic journey, strengthening their professional skills, and preparing for future careers while still at university.

The workshop not only broadened students’ understanding of the luxury brand industry but also inspired DMU-HSU students to pursue ambitious career goals with confidence and to embrace opportunities offered by internationally recognised brands.
DMU-HSU brings industry closer to students
The event also marked the beginning of promising future collaborations between HSU and Louis Vuitton, strengthening links between academia and industry while creating additional opportunities for experiential learning and professional development.
For students enrolled in the DMU-HSU Vietnam programme, learning extends far beyond the classroom. Alongside being taught by academic staff who meet the rigorous quality assurance standards of De Montfort University (United Kingdom), students regularly participate in workshops, seminars, company visits and networking events with professionals from leading national and international organisations.

These industry engagement activities enable students to connect academic knowledge with professional practice, stay informed about emerging industry trends, strengthen both technical and transferable skills, and expand their professional networks. Regular interaction with employers also helps students gain a better understanding of recruitment expectations, workplace culture and the competencies required to succeed in an increasingly globalised employment market.
Guided by a practice-oriented educational philosophy and an international outlook, the DMU-HSU Vietnam programme continues to expand its network of industry partners to provide students with meaningful opportunities to learn from professionals, gain real-world experience and develop the global competencies required for future success. The “Louis Vuitton Info Session” is a strong example of this commitment, reaffirming DMU-HSU’s dedication to connecting students with world-leading brands and international businesses while equipping them with the knowledge, skills and confidence to thrive in the global workforce after graduation.
