TVCreate 2026 Launch: A Nationwide Marketing Practice Forum with Real Business Assignments
04/04/2026
TVCreate 2026 has officially launched, marking the start of a new competition season for students nationwide passionate about marketing, creativity, and communication. More than an academic competition, TVCreate continues to affirm its position as a platform where students engage directly with real-world branding challenges, sharpen their strategic thinking, and develop professional skills right in a practical learning environment.
In 2026, TVCreate celebrates its 16th year as a leading marketing and advertising film competition for Vietnamese students, organized and operated by students of the Faculty of Marketing and Communication at Hoa Sen University (HSU), with strong academic support from lecturers. This milestone is especially meaningful as it aligns with the 20th anniversary of the Marketing major at HSU and the ongoing 35-year journey of the university’s establishment and development.
Engagement of diverse university teams in the TVCreate 2026 competition
On the afternoon of April 3, 2026, TVCreate 2026 officially kicked off with the theme “The Absolute Haven”. The launch event was filled with energy, drawing 19 competing teams from Hoa Sen University (HSU) and leading universities nationwide, such as Foreign Trade University, University of Economics and Law, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, …

At the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Huy Nhut, HSU President; Dr. Doan Thi Ngoc Thuy, Dean of the Faculty of Marketing and Communication; Mr. Huynh Thi Thuy Duong, M.A., HSU Marketing Program Director; Mr. Giang Chau Tuan Dung, Sales & Marketing Manager, Panasonic Electric Works Vietnam; and Ms. Tran Ngoc Bao Tran, Head of the Organizing Committee of TVCreate 2026, performed the opening ceremony of the competition.

In 2026, TVCreate makes its return with the theme “The Absolute Haven”, inspired by the idea of a protected space where sustainability is nurtured from within. From this foundation, attending teams are challenged to go beyond creativity, crafting end-to-end marketing plans that connect insights, strategy, and execution to produce impactful, real-world communication campaigns.
Following the lifecycle of a professional media concept, TVCreate 2026 guides contestants through four key stages:
- Round 1 – THE CORE (April 1 – April 26): Big Idea & Development Plan;
- Round 2 – THE LAYOUT (April 27 – May 17): IMC Strategy & Storyboard;
- Round 3 – THE CRAFT (May 18 – June 14): TVC Production Phase; and,
- Round 4 – THE HAVEN (June 16 – June 27): Grand Finale.

The diverse participation of teams from various educational backgrounds reflects TVCreate’s increasing attraction to students passionate about marketing and brand content creation.

Presenting at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Huy Nhut commented:
“TVCreate Season 16 goes beyond an academic competition to become a realistic simulation of the professional environment. Contestants develop not only ideas, but also the ability to analyze markets, understand consumers, and create real media value”.
This perspective strongly embodies HSU’s educational philosophy, bridging the gap between the classroom and real-world professional environments, where every learning experience translates into practical value.
During the event, Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Duong emphasized that:
“For 20 years, the Marketing major at HSU has continuously evolved, strengthening its academic reputation. As a pioneer in Marketing education in Viet Nam and the first university to achieve ACBSP accreditation for its program in 2015, HSU has laid a strong foundation for excellence. Celebrating the university’s 35-year journey of establishment and development alongside the 20-year growth of the Marketing major, TVCreate Season 16 stands as a meaningful milestone in this ongoing story”.

Furthermore, Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Duong emphasized that, from its origins as an internal project of the Marketing major in 2010, TVCreate had grown into a nationwide competition by 2026, continuously connecting and building upon the legacy of student generations. This evolution cultivated a strong sense of ownership among learners while developing project management capabilities, resilience, and adaptability in a constantly changing environment.
Business-driven challenge in strategic thinking and creativity
Over the years, TVCreate has continuously evolved in format, content, and evaluation methods to better reflect the real-world demands of the creative industry.

This year, the competition features a case study developed by exclusive sponsor Panasonic Electric Works Vietnam, offering contestants a highly practical communication challenge that demands strategic thinking and depth.

Mr. Giang Chau Tuan Dung engaged directly with candidates by addressing key questions during the session. Notably, beyond his role as a sponsor representative, Tuan Dung is also an HSU Marketing alumnus and served as the Head of the Organizing Committee for the first season of TVCreate, further highlighting his long-standing connection with the competition.
Furthermore, participating teams are assigned to design an integrated marketing campaign for Panasonic Electric Works Vietnam, with a total budget of VN$ 5 billion and an implementation period of six months, in which the TV commercial functions as the primary communication medium.

The campaign aims to highlight the role of electrical appliances in protecting the “dream home”, while pursuing two core objectives: reshaping perceptions of the safety and value of electrical systems, and encouraging younger homeowners to proactively understand and manage the electrical infrastructure in their living spaces.

This challenge pushes students beyond creativity, requiring them to research the market, decode consumer insights, craft compelling messages, choose the right channels, and assess the real impact of their campaigns.
A real-world simulation of the marketing process
One of the defining features of TVCreate is its competition structure, which closely replicates the workflow of a professional media campaign.

Comprising four rounds, TVCreate 2026 provides contestants with a progressive experience, from research and ideation to strategic planning, production, and presentation to a panel of experts.
Throughout the journey, students are transformed from learners into practitioners, approaching each business brief with a professional mindset. They sharpen analytical and strategic thinking, strengthen teamwork and presentation skills, and gain the confidence to carry ideas through to execution.
By closely simulating a professional environment, TVCreate delivers a highly practical learning experience that bridges the gap between classroom knowledge and industry expectations.

An embodiment of experiential learning in Marketing at HSU
At HSU, TVCreate is not only an annual competition but also a core activity that clearly reflects the training orientation of the Marketing major: practice-based learning, real-world projects, and professional development.
Through hands-on involvement in organizing and operating a large-scale academic platform with strong industry collaboration, HSU empowers students to develop holistically in mindset, skills, and professional competence.
In a rapidly evolving Marketing, Communications, and Advertising landscape, TVCreate prepares students not just to stay current but to confidently lead in their careers.
Therefore, TVCreate 2026 goes beyond a competition; it is a true “practical academic forum” where students challenge themselves, gain real-world experience, learn actively, and build their professional capabilities.
