TOEIC Workshop & Mocktest: Conquering TOEIC with Confidence

As an important benchmark in students’ academic and career development journeys, the TOEIC exam plays a vital role in preparing learners for future opportunities. To support students in strengthening their study strategies and enhancing their confidence before the exam, the Faculty of Languages and Psychology at Hoa Sen University, in collaboration with BETMA English – Anh Duong English Center, organized the “TOEIC Workshop & Mock Test: Break the Fear, Boost Your Score”.

Drawing strong interest from HSU students, the workshop provided valuable opportunities to engage directly with experts, learn effective preparation strategies, and experience a realistic mock test environment designed to replicate the actual TOEIC exam.

Fostering Foreign Language Excellence Through Practical Learning Activities

On June 13, 2026, as part of a series of activities to strengthen students’ foreign language competence, Hoa Sen University (HSU) partnered with BETMA English – Anh Duong English Center to host the “TOEIC Workshop & Mock Test: Break the Fear, Boost Your Score”. The event provided HSU students with practical preparation strategies, expert insights, and a realistic TOEIC testing experience to help them approach the exam with greater confidence. As the first activity in a long-term collaboration between HSU and BETMA English, the workshop reflected a shared commitment to helping students enhance their foreign language skills, achieve academic milestones, and build a strong foundation for future career success in a globalized world.

Beyond exam preparation, the workshop offered students valuable insights into recruitment expectations, the growing importance of foreign language certifications, and ways to enhance their competitiveness in the job market. It also highlighted HSU’s commitment to connecting students with trusted educational partners and enriching their learning experience beyond the classroom.

Unlocking TOEIC Success with Expert Strategies

Drawing on his experience in language training, Mr. Le Thanh Nhan, Head of Training Department at BETMA English, shared practical strategies for conquering the TOEIC exam. By addressing students’ frequently asked questions, he offered valuable perspectives on setting realistic score goals, studying effectively, and leveraging TOEIC certification for future career advancement.

Through the workshop, students gained valuable insights into:

• How a TOEIC score of 600+ can be achieved with the right learning roadmap;
• Smart and effective study strategies designed around target scores; and,
• The growing value of TOEIC certification in unlocking career opportunities and standing out in the job market.

In addition to sharing professional knowledge, the speaker highlighted common mistakes, provided strategies to avoid “traps” while taking the test, and guided students in developing systematic study methods suited to their individual learning abilities.

Applied Learning Experience Through TOEIC Mock Testing

The TOEIC Mock Test was designed to replicate the actual exam structure closely. Through this activity, students had the opportunity to evaluate their current abilities, identify areas for improvement, and build effective study plans for their next phase of preparation.

While attending the workshop, participants emphasized that the workshop delivered valuable practical insights, including effective study strategies, test-taking techniques, and approaches to handling commonly misleading questions. Participating in mock exams helped students become accustomed to exam pressure, gain practical experience, and enhance their confidence before the official TOEIC test.

Beyond evaluating their abilities, this activity also helped students overcome apprehension and gradually transform their fear of TOEIC into confidence and proactive preparation to achieve their target scores.
