HSU Law Students Showcase Litigation Skills at “Mock Trial 2026: Tour Law NHG”

Competing against teams from universities throughout Ho Chi Minh City, students from the Faculty of Law at Hoa Sen University left a remarkable mark at “Mock Trial 2026: Tour Law NHG” with an impressive list of achievements. The HSU teams not only demonstrated strong legal expertise but also impressed with sharp critical thinking, flexible problem-solving, and confident professional courtroom performance.

In the final round, they earned high praise from the judging panel, which included seasoned experts, judges, prosecutors, and lawyers. Confidence, determination, and the ability to apply knowledge in practical contexts empowered Hoa Sen University students to leave a distinctive mark in a highly competitive academic competition.

Remarkable Competition Achievements of HSU Law Faculty Students

Hoa Sen University (HSU) participated in the contest with two teams from the Faculty of Law, both achieving notable results and leaving a positive impression on the judging panel.

Among them, the Originals team of seven first-year students excellently won the Second Prize overall. The accomplishment highlighted not only their strong legal foundation but also their confidence, composure, and practical litigation skills despite being early-year students.

The members of The Originals team include:

1. Ms. Tran Duy Phuong Nhi, Economic Law student;
2. Ms. Cao Ngoc Thanh An, Economic Law student;
3. Ms. Pham Hien Khanh – Law student;
4. Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh Trang, Economic Law student;
5. Mr. Nguyen Pham Duc Nguyen, Economic Law student;
6. Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong, Economic Law student; and,
7. Mr. Nguyen Gia Phuc, Economic Law student.

The success of HSU students continued with the Thinkup team, made up of five students from the 2023 and 2024 cohorts, proudly winning the Encouragement Award through their polished performance and persuasive legal reasoning.

The members of the Thinkup team include:

1. Mr. Cao Thien Tong Khai, Economic Law student;
2. Ms. Tran Thu Hien, Economic Law student;
3. Ms. Ha Ngoc Nhu Y, Economic Law student;
4. Mr. Tran Dat, Economic Law student; and,
5. Mr. Dinh Khac Hoang Tien, Law student.

Notably, Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh Trang (Originals team) was honored with the “Most Impressive Contestant” award thanks to her outstanding portrayal of the presiding judge in a criminal trial.

“Mock Trial 2026: Tour Law NHG”, organized by Gia Dinh University, welcomes students from Nguyen Hoang Group universities and many institutions across Ho Chi Minh City.

The success of HSU Law Faculty students continues to affirm the strength of HSU’s practice-oriented training approach.
