Expanding International Study Experiences for Students
On August 28, 2026, Hoa Sen University (HSU) and Yonsei University MIRAE Campus in South Korea officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), opening new opportunities for academic collaboration and international learning.
Yonsei University is one of South Korea’s three prestigious “SKY” universities, alongside Seoul National University and Korea University. Widely recognized in South Korea, the term “SKY” refers to the country’s three most prestigious and influential universities. The partnership with a SKY university marks another step in HSU’s efforts to expand its network of high-quality international partners, giving students greater access to learning, exchange, research, and international experiences in South Korea’s leading higher-education environment.
Yonsei University’s reputation extends well beyond its “SKY” status, with its academic standing also reflected in global university rankings. In the QS World University Rankings 2027, Yonsei University was ranked 42nd worldwide, advancing eight places from 50th in the previous year’s ranking. Furthermore, it was positioned behind Seoul National University (38th) and ahead of Korea University (52nd), reinforcing its standing among South Korea’s leading universities. Moreover, it was ranked 86th globally in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026.
Additionally, complementing this academic standing is Yonsei University’s vibrant international ecosystem, which emphasizes global collaboration, student exchange, interdisciplinary research, and connections across the international academic community. This serves as a crucial foundation for HSU and Yonsei University MIRAE Campus to extensively implement student and faculty exchange programs, short-term academic programs, international conferences and seminars, joint research and training, as well as the exchange of learning resources and scientific publications.

For HSU Korean Language Studies students, the collaboration goes beyond access to the SKY university. It creates opportunities to strengthen their Korean language skills in a native-speaking environment, experience Korean culture firsthand, broaden their global perspectives, and prepare for careers in an increasingly connected Viet Nam – South Korea context.
From the lecture halls of HSU to academic experiences in South Korea, the MOU between HSU and Yonsei University MIRAE Campus opens a new chapter for HSU Korean Language Studies students, bringing them closer to international learning experiences and broader global career pathways.
