HSU Welcomes AUN-QA Assessment Delegation, Reaffirming Quality Across Four Undergraduate Programs

From November 25 to 27, 2025, HSU proudly welcomed the AUN-QA Evaluation Delegation to assess four bachelor’s programs: Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Hotel Management, and Psychology. This marks a meaningful milestone, reaffirming HSU’s commitment to sustainable quality and its drive toward internationally aligned, application-oriented education.

AUN-QA – A Testament to Our Commitment to Training Quality

Driven by a clear vision and strong academic foundation, Hoa Sen University (HSU) has emerged as one of Viet Nam’s leading private universities.
In September 2025, HSU proudly joined the list of 17 Vietnamese universities recognized for meeting international standards. This milestone highlights the university’s strong academic foundation and commitment to global quality, with programs accredited by leading organizations such as AUN-QA, ASIIN, FIBAA, and NEAS.

Presenting at the Opening Ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Huy Nhut, Vice President of HSU, commented: “The AUN-QA assessment marks a key milestone, enabling HSU to further affirm its commitment to quality education”.

From his remarks, it is clear that HSU is determined to provide students, parents, and businesses with tangible evidence of training quality. HSU continues to pursue its goal of shaping graduates who possess solid knowledge, strong moral values, practical experience, and well-defined career pathways.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Huy Nhut expressed his appreciation for the recommendations provided by the AUN-QA experts, noting that their insights would help the university continue to improve and enhance the quality of its training programs moving forward.

Each assessment helps HSU better understand its alignment with international standards, enabling proactive improvements to student learning and employer satisfaction. This foundation supports HSU’s ongoing, sustainable enhancement of training standards to meet societal demands.

During the three-day visit, the AUN-QA experts worked directly with HSU leadership, Faculty Deans and Vice Deans, Program Directors, the self-assessment team, lecturers, academic advisors, and representatives of students, alumni, and employers.

The delegation also reviewed facilities, digital learning materials, student support systems, and academic activities, key factors that determine the quality of a training program.

During the closing session, the Evaluation Delegation commended several standout strengths of HSU:

• HSU offered a wide range of activities that actively supported students in developing essential soft skills such as presentation, teamwork, and problem-solving. Major-specific academic competitions were also highlighted as a distinctive strength, helping students refine practical abilities and cultivate a proactive, self-directed learning mindset;
• HSU was highly rated for its modern facilities and digital learning materials, which effectively supported learner-centered teaching. Its flexible learning spaces and convenient access to online resources created a comfortable, dynamic environment that empowered students to learn with confidence;
• HSU was acknowledged for its dedication to student support and the professional working style of its lecturers and staff;
• HSU had a diverse club system that helped students develop comprehensively, increase engagement, and foster a dynamic learning culture; and,
• HSU had established long-term, positive relationships with its alumni and partner businesses.

Alongside recognizing HSU’s achievements, the AUN-QA experts offered meaningful recommendations, such as strengthening the lecturer and professional staff teams for each program and expanding initiatives to improve students’ English proficiency through coursework, academic activities, and international exposure. HSU viewed these insights as valuable opportunities to further elevate program quality.

Presenting at the closing ceremony, Dr. Tu Minh Thien, HSU Vice President, expressed his sincere appreciation to the AUN Secretariat, the staff of the Office of Quality Assurance, and the units that accompanied and supported HSU, contributing to the success of the assessment.

He also acknowledged with gratitude the dedicated efforts of the four teams responsible for developing the Self-Assessment Reports for the Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Psychology, and Hotel Management programs.

Dr. Tu Minh Thien emphasized: “The valuable perspectives offered by the AUN-QA Delegation will provide a strong basis for designing more practical programs and further improving training quality moving forward”.

This assessment not only recognizes HSU’s commitment to training quality but also provides a solid basis for HSU to carry out more effective and well-aligned improvement initiatives moving forward.

In the near future, HSU will continue to enhance quality assurance, modernize learning spaces, and open up clear career opportunities for the students.
