That saying serves as a timeless reminder of the noble calling of those who nurture knowledge and spark dreams in every generation.

November is a meaningful occasion for Hoa Sen University (HSU) to honor our distinguished lecturers, whose dedication has nurtured knowledge and fostered humanistic values across generations of students. On the occasion of the 43rd Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, HSU hosts a 5-day series of activities (November 15–20, 2025) that brings together moments of gratitude, connection, and creativity.

The “Celebrating the 43rd Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day” ceremony is a chance for HSU to honor our faculty and staff, who inspire, share knowledge, and reinforce HSU’s prestige in Viet Nam’s education system.

As part of the occasion, the HSU Awards Ceremony for the 2024 – 2025 academic year will recognize individuals and collectives with exceptional achievements in teaching, research, and community service.

UNESCO Certificate Awarding Ceremony

On this special occasion, HSU will be honored to receive UNESCO certification, recognizing our sustained efforts to promote education and humanistic values. This milestone honors HSU’s unwavering commitment to advancing education for sustainable development and sharing knowledge and humanistic values with the global academic community.

Special Seminar with Harvard University Professor and the Tale of Kieu Translation Project team

This seminar will inspire audiences with fresh insights and meaningful discussions on culture, education, and creativity, affirming HSU’s leadership in global integration and knowledge exchange.

Special Speakers:

Professor John Stauffer, a Harvard University Professor of English with 19 international publications, is recognized worldwide for his expertise in resistance literature, the abolitionist movement, and 19th-century American writing. He will offer compelling perspectives on “Literary Trends in the Digital Transformation Era”.

Mr. Nguyen Do, a Vietnamese-American poet, translator, and editor, is the author of over 13 poetry collections and multiple bilingual Vietnamese–English anthologies. Furthermore, he has contributed as the co-editor and translator, alongside Professor John Stauffer and poet Paul Hoover, in the project translating The Tale of Kieu into English. He will reveal captivating behind-the-scenes stories from the latest Tale of Kieu translation project, as well as the enduring qualities that give the work its timeless vitality.

The first Ho Chi Minh City Open Pickleball Championship for Students

This is the first time a university in Ho Chi Minh City has hosted an inter-school Pickleball championship, marking a new milestone in introducing this modern sport to the Vietnamese educational environment.

The tournament is organized by the Hoa Sen Sports Center in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Tennis – Pickleball Federation, aiming to build a dynamic, connected, and sustainable school sports community.

The championship is drawing remarkable attention, with over 600 participants from high schools, universities, and colleges citywide signing up to take part. The event is expected to feature intense competition, an enthusiastic atmosphere, and the awarding of prestigious medals.
