HSU Students Explore Chongqing During the National Day
This year, the September 2 National Day holiday marked the beginning of a memorable journey for Hoa Sen University students as they arrived in Chongqing, China, for a two-week international learning and exploration program. Every journey beyond the comfort zone offers a chance to broaden our horizons, encounter new cultures, and see the world through a different lens. For HSU students, it is also a journey of carrying the pride of Viet Nam with them throughout these meaningful September days.
Global Experiences for Future Success
On August 31, 2026, a group of students from Hoa Sen University (HSU) joined the opening ceremony at Chongqing College of Finance and Economics, officially beginning their Chongqing Global Field Trip 2026. Stepping into a new academic environment, students began their journey by meeting lecturers and peers from different countries, exchanging perspectives, and experiencing their first moments of learning and cultural discovery in China.
At the opening ceremony, Dr. Ly Hong Dung, Lecturer of the Chinese Language Studies Program at HSU and a representative of the HSU delegation, expressed her appreciation to Chongqing College of Finance and Economics and shared her expectations for the students’ journey ahead. She encouraged students to seize every opportunity to learn, engage in cultural exchange, and grow through real-life experiences.

For students, traveling abroad is about more than discovering new destinations, as it offers the chance to see how a city works, experience a different learning environment, meet people from diverse cultures, and view familiar things from home through a fresh perspective.

Throughout their two-week journey in Chongqing, HSU students combined classroom learning with cultural experiences and real-world settings, bringing their studies to life through a diverse range of experiential activities. The journey extended far beyond academic activities, with students taking part in cultural workshops, discovering local life, and exploring the professional landscape through visits to businesses, smart factories, museums, and iconic destinations in Chongqing.
Furthermore, learning took on a more tangible meaning as students connected what they had learned with the world around them. Whether exploring culture and technology or observing manufacturing and business activities, each destination offered fresh perspectives on China and the transformations shaping the professional world.
There was something especially meaningful about being thousands of kilometers from home during Viet Nam’s National Day on September 2. As HSU students explored a new country, encountered different cultures, and experienced an international learning environment, they also gained a deeper appreciation of their motherland and the responsibility and pride that come with representing Viet Nam beyond its borders.

Chongqing Global Field Trip 2026, organized by the HSU Institute of English and International Integration, is one of the initiatives that brings international experiences closer to students, allowing them to step beyond the classroom and learn directly from the world around them. Throughout the journey, HSU continues to develop a learning approach grounded in real-world experiences: Learning Beyond Borders, Expanding Perspectives, and Growing Through Experience.
