HSU Students Excel at the Eloquence Contest on AI and Digital Citizen
On June 16, 2026, the Hoa Sen University team won Third Prize in the Group B category of the Cluster 17 Eloquence Contest for the 2025-2026 academic year (Vietnamese-language division). This achievement further demonstrates Hoa Sen University students’ critical thinking abilities, international outlook, and academic excellence in addressing contemporary global issues.
Addressing “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Citizenship” with Critical Thinking
On June 16, 2026, the Hoa Sen University (HSU) team secured Third Prize at the Cluster 17 Eloquence Contest (Vietnamese-language division), highlighting students’ ability to engage thoughtfully with contemporary social and technological issues.
HSU was represented by a team of 10 students from English Language Studies, Chinese Language Studies, Korean Language Studies, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management programs. Drawing on their diverse academic backgrounds, the team brought multidimensional perspectives and a well-rounded approach to the competition topic.
Addressing the theme “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Citizenship”, the HSU team explored one of the most pressing issues of the digital era.
As Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to reshape various aspects of society, the HSU students demonstrated their ability to analyze complex topics through rigorous research, critical thinking, and confident public speaking. The team’s insightful arguments, diverse viewpoints, and confident delivery made a lasting impression on the judging panel and participating organizations.
While acknowledging the transformative potential of AI, they also emphasized the responsibilities of digital citizens, advocating for an approach that balances technological advancement with long-term social sustainability.
Success Built on Strong Team Spirit
Reflecting on his preparation journey for the competition, Mr. Do Quoc Bao, an HSU Chinese Language Studies student, said: “The strength of our team comes from the enthusiasm and commitment of all 10 members. With this shared mindset, we actively researched, created ideas, and supported one another throughout the journey. The open and inclusive learning environment at HSU further helped us grow in confidence and fully develop our strengths”.
Furthermore, he expressed his appreciation for the support of Dr. Tran Thi Cam Tu, Dean of the Institute of International Education and Global Engagement. Through her expert feedback and dedicated guidance, the team enhanced its content, improved its presentation techniques, and approached the competition with greater confidence.

The HSU team’s success at the Cluster 17 Eloquence Contest is a testament to the effectiveness of HSU’s learner-centered educational environment, which fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and international integration capabilities.
