HSU Partners with Odoo to Drive ERP Innovation in Education and Management

On March 27, 2026, Hoa Sen University hosted the workshop “ERP Education in the Digital Transformation Era with Odoo”, organized by the Center for Student Experience and Corporate Relations in partnership with Odoo. The event gave faculty and staff hands-on insights into leveraging ERP systems for academic and operational purposes. This program marks a key milestone in integrating technology into education and advancing Hoa Sen University’s digital transformation.

Enhancement of digital capabilities in training and operations

On March 27, 2026, Hoa Sen University (HSU) hosted the workshop “ERP Education in the Digital Transformation Era with Odoo”, organized by the Center for Student Experience and Corporate Relations in partnership with Odoo.
In the context of ongoing digital transformation across sectors, the integration of modern management technology platforms into the university environment is no longer a short-term trend but a practical necessity for educational innovation and enhanced operational efficiency.

With this orientation, the workshop “ERP Education in the Digital Transformation Era with Odoo” was organized to provide HSU lecturers and staff with a deeper understanding of ERP systems, widely adopted by businesses worldwide to optimize processes, manage data, and enhance operational efficiency.

Practical experience of Odoo’s “all-in-one” ERP model

During the workshop, Mr. To Ton Thanh, Education Program Manager of Odoo Education Vietnam, demonstrated the capabilities of the globally recognized “all-in-one” ERP software, which unifies multiple business functions on one platform.

The presentation provided attendees with a practical understanding of how ERP systems link key business activities such as sales, procurement, warehousing, human resources, marketing, and customer service. This also provides a crucial foundation for training environments, helping to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and the practical operations of modern businesses.

Business operations simulation in an educational setting

A key highlight of the workshop was a live demonstration led by the speaker, simulating the management of a fully operational coffee shop directly on the Odoo system. Through this real-world case study, HSU faculty and staff gained hands-on insight into running a business on a digital platform, exploring full functionalities such as inventory management, purchasing and sales, human resources, timekeeping, and marketing operations.

By presenting ERP operations visually, the workshop helped participants understand the system’s logic while revealing practical applications for teaching in fields like business, management, technology, logistics, e-commerce, and digital transformation.

As part of the workshop, Odoo offered HSU lecturers and staff free access to the Odoo Education Database system for a period of 24 months per database. Simultaneously, Odoo provided a Scale-Up Game package, available in hard and soft copies, to support teaching and simulate business operations within the learning environment.

These resources empowered HSU community to proactively integrate technology into their teaching, design practical, hands-on courses, and create learning experiences closely connected to real-world business practices.

Educational collaboration with HSU and Odoo during the ongoing digital transformation

HSU and Odoo have also formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), establishing a partnership aimed at creating value for education in the era of digital transformation.

The workshop with Odoo serves as a tangible milestone in this collaboration, exemplifying HSU’s development philosophy: liberal thinking, applied teaching, innovation across the knowledge ecosystem, and intelligent management.

By deepening collaboration with technology partners like Odoo, HSU is further developing its practice-oriented learning ecosystem, allowing faculty, staff, and students to engage early with the tools, models, and operational approaches used in contemporary workplaces.
