Academic excellence, professional competence, and strong employer recognition have become defining strengths of graduates from Hoa Sen University’s Institute of Online Learning. These achievements were celebrated during the Institute’s second graduation ceremony on July 4, 2026.
More than just a flexible way to earn a degree, Hoa Sen University’s online bachelor’s program delivers graduates who are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and professional competence sought by employers. As a result, an increasing number of leading companies and organizations are choosing to recruit Hoa Sen University graduates upon completion of their studies.

Academic Excellence with Professional Readiness

On July 4, 2026, the Institute of Online Learning at Hoa Sen University (HSU) hosted its second graduation ceremony, honoring graduates distinguished by academic excellence, professional competence, and strong recognition from employers.
This year’s graduation ceremony represents an important milestone for the HSU Institute of Online Learning, highlighting a cohort of graduates who not only achieved strong academic results but are also quickly proving their capabilities in the labor market.

According to statistics, 20% of graduates earned High Distinction, and 40% achieved Distinction, meaning one in every five graduates attained Excellent-level performance. These results reflect a training model grounded in academic excellence and practical application. Beyond academic achievements, over 30% of graduates had secured employment before graduation, while two graduates have established their own businesses.
These results reflect the program’s effectiveness in equipping students with practical skills, enabling them to confidently enter the workforce or start their own entrepreneurial journeys.

One of the outstanding graduates is Mr. Tran Hoang Phuc, Valedictorian of the Economic Law program. Notably, this is his second bachelor’s degree at HSU Institute of Online Learning, after previously completing a degree in Business Administration.

Hoang Phuc’s journey demonstrates that the online learning model not only provides flexibility but also fosters lifelong learning and enhances professional competence. Additionally, at the graduation ceremony, he received a 50% tuition scholarship for master’s programs at HSU, continuing his path of academic growth and development.

Furthermore, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Huy Nhut, HSU President, highlighted that online learning was no longer an alternative option in the current context but had become an established mode of education, enabling equitable access to higher education regardless of learners’ circumstances or geographical location. “Online learning is no longer a second option but a powerful pathway to higher education. No matter their circumstances or location, learners can now access the disciplines they aspire to study”, he noted.

According to the HSU President, the journey provided learners with more than professional knowledge, fostering perseverance, discipline, determination, and resilience, qualities that are especially important in online learning programs. He also claimed that reaching graduation and attending the ceremony reflected the dedication and success of each graduate.

At the conclusion of his speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Huy Nhut congratulated the new graduates and delivered a heartfelt message: “From this moment forward, your journey becomes part of the proud history of HSU”. At the same time, he reaffirmed that HSU would always keep its doors open for alumni to return and pursue further studies in the future.

This year’s valedictorian of the HSU Institute of Online Learning, Mr. Tran Hoang Phuc, delivered an inspiring valedictory speech.

“In life, there are decisions that may appear ordinary at first but later become defining turning points. My decision to study at HSU’s Institute of Online Learning was one such choice. Initially, I was looking for an environment where acquire knowledge and build a solid career foundation. However, through my studies, I realized that the most valuable outcome of education is not only knowledge, but also the development of mindset, perspective, and continuous self-improvement”, Phuc expressed.

He further affirmed that the title of valedictorian was a great honor; however, he believed that every title was only meaningful when it serves as a reminder to live more responsibly and strive for continuous self-improvement.

Following that, he expressed his attitude and mentioned: “This degree does not close the chapter of our learning journey, but opens a new chapter of responsibility, including responsibility to oneself, family, profession, and society. Even as we move in different directions, I hope we will continue to maintain a spirit of lifelong learning, kindness, integrity, and a commitment to contributing to society”.

  • Mr. Nguyen Van Bao Huy, Economic Law program;
  • Ms. Hoang Thuy Phuong Quynh, Marketing program;
  • Mr. Nguyen Quang Tri, Information Technology program;
  • Ms. Nguyen Thi Thien Huong, English Language Studies program; and,
  • Ms. Nguyen Thu Ha, Business Administration program.

Industry Recognition of HSU Online Learning Graduates

The attendance of numerous domestic and international businesses at the graduation ceremony highlighted employers’ growing confidence in HSU graduates and the university’s close connection with the labor market.

According to business representatives, HSU online learning graduates combined strong professional knowledge with the practical competencies demanded by today’s workforce, including technological proficiency, online collaboration, analytical thinking, discipline, adaptability, and lifelong learning.

These competencies align closely with the evolving needs of employers in an era of rapid digital transformation.

The success of HSU online graduates is increasingly reflected in the confidence placed in them by international employers.

Mr. John O’Neill, Principal and Founder of Komosion, shared that HSU alumni had made significant contributions to his company’s growth, with many leading AI engineering teams and helping develop technology platforms that connected the Australian and Vietnamese markets.

Moreover, he noted that HSU graduates consistently impressed employers with their adaptability, initiative, accountability, and results-oriented mindset. Recognizing these strengths, Komosion continued to expand its “intern-to-work” program, providing interns with opportunities to transition into full-time roles. He also informed the company hoped to strengthen its collaboration with HSU and recruit more high-quality graduates in the future.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr.Nguyen Huu Phat, MA, Dean of the HSU Institute of Online Learning, shared that the online learning bachelor’s program had been developed around a learner-centered philosophy, ensuring that every learner’s demands and aspirations were respected.

He noted that its application-oriented curriculum had empowered students to immediately translate knowledge into practice, embrace digital technologies, and confidently respond to the changing demands of industry. He added that these competencies were increasingly valued in the global labor market.
