At Hoa Sen University (HSU), the Information Technology (IT) major stands out with its training program meeting AUN-QA standards, focusing on practice, flexible orientation, and extensive business connections, providing a launching pad for students to confidently work at large technology corporations at home and abroad.

The training program provides more than 60% of its time to practical projects

According to Dr. Le Dinh Phong, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology at HSU, commented that the training program was strictly accredited by the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA), ensuring the quality of teaching and the value of the degree were widely recognized. More than 60% of IT training time is for practical projects, helping students practice their design skills and deploy technology solutions while studying at university.

Students can choose to specialize in key fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, or expand their knowledge in multiple fields to adapt to the constant development of technology. Additionally, modern facilities and computer rooms are equipped with the latest software and hardware, helping students access and practice advanced technologies such as AI, IoT, and cloud computing.

Students study in an international standard environment with small class sizes. Each student has a personal advisor to optimize their study and career path, and is provided with comprehensive psychological, career, and scholarship support, helping to reduce financial burden.

Moreover, experiential activities such as Company Tour, Mobile App Challenge, HSU Programming Challenge (with helpful support of “giants” technology companies – Amazon and Samsung), and research projects. Beyond academics, HSU offers specialized clubs such as Hoa Sen Gaming, Runway, and FlyBug, providing platforms for students to cultivate leadership, spark creativity, and expand their working network.

Network of more than 1,000 partners, in cooperation with major technology corporations

Graduating from Information Technology, students can take on positions as programmers, system engineers, data analysts, IT project managers, etc. Dr. Le Dinh Phong emphasized: “Thanks to more than 1,000 partner businesses working network, 100% of IT students have jobs in their major right after graduation” (According to Results of a survey on employment of IT students graduating in 2024).
With cognitive internships and graduation internships, students get acquainted with the real environment and have the opportunity to “score points” with employers early on. The Faculty’s strategic partners include many large technology corporations such as AWS, Gameloft, TMA Solutions, Harvey Nash, BOSCH, DXC Technology, FPT, KMS, VNG, … providing internships and job opportunities as well as top-quality practical experience for students.

Seven years ago, despite numerous university options, 2018 alumnus Mr. Nguyen Minh Doan, now studying in Canada, recognized HSU’s unique advantages commented that HSU respected diversity, had podium-free learning, and supportive faculty, so he convinced his family to decide to study the Information Technology program at HSU.
