HSU Advances MBA Education Through Thesis Evaluations Rooted in Business Practice

Effective management requires more than theoretical knowledge; it calls for the ability to analyze complex situations and develop solutions grounded in business realities. Reflecting this approach, the Institute of Graduate Studies and Leadership at Hoa Sen University held two Master of Business Administration (MBA) thesis evaluation panels on October 12, 2026, launching a series of assessments that link students’ research to practical challenges in the business world.

Bridging Academic Research and Business Practice

Ms. Tang Hong Que Quan, a student in the 19th MBA cohort and Head of Strategic Human Resources Partnerships at Pasteur Street Craft Beer Co., Ltd., gained valuable perspectives from the evaluation panel on the effects of artificial intelligence (AI) applications on employee performance and workplace experiences.

These discussions helped her further explore how her research findings could inform human resource management practices. This example reflects the practical value of MBA research in addressing workplace challenges and informing how businesses adopt technology in their management practices.

Additionally, for Ms. Nguyen Thanh Thoai Ngoc Hien, an MBA student in the 18th cohort and founder of An Nhien Village Co., Ltd., her journey at HSU is best captured in two words: “pride” and “gratitude”.

Earning her master’s degree was more than an academic achievement; it was a meaningful milestone that reflected her perseverance in balancing professional responsibilities, personal life, and postgraduate studies. Completing her MBA has strengthened her motivation to continue learning, develop her capabilities, and take on new challenges in her professional journey.

While each learner follows a different path, both stories reveal that postgraduate education extends beyond the classroom. It encourages learners to see familiar challenges from new perspectives, reflect on their professional experiences, and apply their knowledge more effectively in the workplace.

Ongoing Growth in Management Competencies

Each MBA thesis addresses a specific research problem through the student’s own perspective and professional experience. Presentations and academic discussions enable students to sharpen their analytical thinking, refine their research findings, and explore ways to translate management theories into practical solutions for their workplaces.

The launch of the MBA thesis evaluation series marks a significant step in HSU students’ postgraduate journeys, bringing their research efforts into dialogue with professional perspectives and real-world business needs. Beyond completing their academic requirements, students gain valuable insights and professional feedback that can inform their continued development as managers, strengthen their ability to address business challenges, and help them contribute greater value to their organizations.
