EOS 2026: From Creative Ideas to the Big Screen

On the evening of October 1, 2026, the EOS 2026 Gala brought the creative works of HSU students to the big screen at BHD Thao Dien, marking the 11th season of the end-of-semester film screening for the Media Production and Management Program at Hoa Sen University. More than a screening, EOS gave students the chance to bring their ideas to life on the big screen, share their work with audiences, and experience firsthand what it means to present their creative work in a professional film setting.

Over 50 Entries, 15 Selected Works

EOS (End of Semester Screening) is an end-of-semester film screening event designed for students in the Media Production and Management Program at Hoa Sen University (HSU). Now in its 11th season, EOS has become a creative platform where students experience the full content production process, bring their ideas to life, and share their work with lecturers, industry professionals, and audiences.

More than 50 entries were submitted to EOS 2026, showcasing student creativity across six categories: Documentaries, Short Films, TV Commercials, PSAs, Music Videos, and Television Programs. The works were assessed by directors, producers, and professionals from the media and film industry, creating a valuable bridge between classroom learning and professional practice.

The selection process culminated in 15 outstanding works being screened at the EOS Gala 2026, attended by HSU students, freshmen, parents, faculty members, directors, producers, and industry guests.

Beyond showcasing their final projects, EOS allowed students to reflect on the creative process, from developing ideas and writing scripts to organizing production and completing their works, while gaining valuable insight into the professional world.

From the Classroom to the Screen: Experiential Learning in Action

EOS 2026 gave HSU’s Media Production and Management students a chance to take their learning beyond the classroom and turn ideas into complete media productions. From developing the initial concept to scriptwriting, directing, filming, set design, production, and post-production, students experienced the many stages involved in bringing a media project to life.

Furthermore, they strengthened essential skills in teamwork, time management, problem-solving, and coordination while working in a real-world production environment.

The EOS Gala extended students’ learning beyond the classroom, giving them opportunities to present their productions and receive feedback from lecturers, industry experts, and audiences. These interactions helped them better understand industry expectations and identify areas for further development.

EOS 2026: From Creative Ideas to the Big Screen

Through the “experiential learning” spirit, EOS connects academic knowledge with real-world production, enabling students to turn what they learn into practical skills, professional experience, and stronger career readiness.

Closing its 11th season, EOS marks another milestone in the creative journey of HSU’s Media Production and Management students. Behind every production is a process of exploration, practice, and growth that gives students opportunities to experience the profession firsthand, turn ideas into finished works, and build the skills and competencies they need for careers in the creative communications industry.
