HSU English Language Studies Students Demonstrate Global Readiness at the Cluster 17 English Eloquence Contest
On June 7, 2026, HSU English Language Studies students excelled at the Cluster 17 English Eloquence Contest, demonstrating strong English skills, critical thinking, and insights into “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Citizens”.
As an annual academic event for students from 10 universities in Cluster 17, the English Eloquence Contest provides a valuable platform for participants to exchange perspectives, strengthen their English communication and debating skills, and demonstrate civic awareness in an era of rapid technological advancement.
Representing HSU in Group A – the Individual English Public Speaking Category were Ms. Le Nguyen Truc Loan and Ms. Dang Hong Han, both English Language Studies students. Guided by Mr. Nguyen Minh Tri, MA, Director of the HSU English Language Studies Program, the contestants demonstrated thorough preparation, presenting well-structured arguments on the role of artificial intelligence (AI), digital citizenship, and the opportunities and challenges of the global digital transformation.


Promoting Youth Perspectives on AI and Digital Citizenship
Through their presentations, HSU students shared insightful perspectives on how society can adapt to the accelerating pace of technological change. Beyond exploring the opportunities that AI creates for education, careers, and society, they also emphasized the demand for critical thinking, digital ethics, and responsible digital citizenship.
Their confident English delivery and ability to relate technological issues to contemporary social realities enabled the HSU representatives to stand out and make a lasting impression throughout the contest.

HSU Representation in the Top 5 Contestants
Among the contest’s standout participants, Ms. Le Nguyen Truc Loan, a member of Miracle English Club HSU, secured a place in the Top 5 contestants and was honored with the Consolation Prize.
The achievement reflects her dedication, strong English communication skills, critical thinking abilities, and confidence in presenting complex ideas before judges and fellow contestants.
Moreover, it demonstrates the effectiveness of HSU’s training approach in nurturing foreign language proficiency, international communication competencies, and an integration-ready mindset among English Language Studies students.
