Over 4,500 Students Compete in IELTS Spelling Championship 2026, Fostering English Excellence and Global Integration

After months of competition involving more than 4,500 students from 30 high schools across Ho Chi Minh City, the IELTS Spelling Championship 2026 concluded with a memorable Grand Final. The competition not only honored outstanding talent but also inspired a culture of lifelong learning, self-confidence, and global citizenship among participating students.

A Vibrant Learning Environment for Language Skills and Critical Thinking

Co-organized by the Institute of English & International Integration at Hoa Sen University (HSU), IMAP Vietnam, and IDP Vietnam, the IELTS Spelling Championship 2026 continues to strengthen its position as one of the largest-scale academic English competitions for high school students in Ho Chi Minh City.

As English continues to play a vital role in learning, working, and global integration, the IELTS Spelling Championship offers students a dynamic environment to strengthen their academic vocabulary, language proficiency, and reflexes through a positive and competitive environment.

With more than 4,500 students participating, this year’s championship provided an exciting stage for young English enthusiasts to showcase their abilities and push their limits. Each round of the championship challenged contestants to demonstrate not only their knowledge but also their confidence, concentration, and adaptability in high-pressure situations.

30 Outstanding Finalists Competing in the Grand Final

From thousands of participants, only 30 outstanding contestants advanced to the Final Round to conquer spelling and IELTS-aligned academic vocabulary challenges.

At the final stage, contestants showcased their linguistic flexibility, sharp thinking, and strong confidence through each round of the championship. The exciting challenges created a dynamic academic atmosphere, highlighting students’ determination and commitment to improving their foreign language skills.

The high school division concluded with the announcement of this year’s top-performing contestants:

• Champion: Ms. Tran Duong Tram Anh, Nguyen Thuong Hien High School
• First Runner-up: Ms. Pham Doan Mai Khanh, IELTS Fighter Team, Nguyen Huu Cau High School
• Second Runner-up: Mr. Ha Kien Minh, Nguyen Huu Huan High School
