HSU 2026 Master’s Graduation Ceremony: Over 50% of Graduates Hold Leadership and Management Positions
On September 12, 2026, Hoa Sen University celebrated a new milestone as graduates from its Master of Business Administration, Master of Arts in English Language Studies (MAE), and Master of Tourism and Hospitality Management (MAT) programs gathered for the 2026 Master’s Graduation Ceremony at the Agora Auditorium, Thanh Thai Campus.
More than 50% of the Master’s graduates are already business owners, senior leaders, or managers. Their journeys demonstrate how postgraduate learning can go hand in hand with professional growth, bringing together academic knowledge, leadership experience, and real-world challenges to create meaningful value.

According to the pre-graduation survey, more than 50% of HSU’s Master’s graduates are business owners, senior leaders, or managers at businesses and organizations. Approximately 25% are professionals in journalism, media, finance, and banking, while 20% are lecturers or education professionals.
What makes the learning environment truly practical is the diversity of experience students bring with them. Each student enters the classroom with a different professional journey, bringing workplace questions, lessons learned through experience, and perspectives shaped by real-world challenges.

At the Graduation Ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Huy Nhut, HSU Vice President, invited the Master’s graduates to reflect on a deeper question: Beyond the title, what truly defines a Master’s graduate?
According to him, earning a Master’s degree was about more than adding a new title or expanding one’s knowledge. He emphasized that a higher academic qualification should come with deeper thinking, greater professionalism, and a stronger sense of responsibility for the consequences of one’s decisions.
He also emphasized the importance of methodical skepticism in postgraduate learning. He further noted that learners needed to develop the habit of questioning what they encountered, including ideas they had previously believed to be true. They needed to verify information, examine evidence, listen to alternative perspectives, and reach conclusions only when the evidence was sufficient.
Those approaches transformed postgraduate learning from simply acquiring more knowledge into a process of questioning, examining, and continuously refining the way learners think. The deeper the learning journey goes, the greater the need to think independently, question what we know, verify information, and take responsibility for the choices we make.
Connected to the “Utility-oriented” philosophy, HSU expects that the Master’s degree will continue to be demonstrated by each graduate’s competence, integrity, and practical contributions after graduation.
“Today, HSU confers degrees on our Master’s graduates. However, the real worth of a degree isn’t determined at graduation; it is developed over time through the application of knowledge, demonstrated competence, upheld integrity, and impactful contributions to organizations and society”, he noted.
Motivation to Lifelong Learning
Adding a meaningful dimension to the HSU Master’s Graduation Ceremony 2026 was the story of Ms. Luong Thi Dieu Huyen, Valedictorian of the Master’s Program in English Language Studies and Head of the English Department at Greenfield School.
At the ceremony, Huyen Dieu recalled the long evenings and weekends she devoted to studying and refining her research papers, knowing that the next morning would bring another day of work.
While researching how to help students become more proactive in their learning, Huyen Dieu discovered an important lesson: when there are no deadlines or grades to motivate us, the drive to keep learning must come from within.
“True progress is not about pushing yourself harder; it is about finding a meaningful reason to keep going”, she emphasized.
Her story captures the reality of postgraduate learning: education does not happen in isolation, but alongside work, family, and the responsibilities of everyday life. That is why lifelong learning requires more than effort; it requires initiative and a meaningful reason to keep moving forward.
