Sustainability Compliance Intern
We are looking for people in love with making a positive difference to people and the environment!
About the role
The global resource scarcity is already impacting our business and, more importantly, the lives of people throughout our value chain. To be people and planet positive in the future, we must further develop our responsible sourcing programmes, continue to improve resource utilization and dramatically reduce greenhouse gases in absolute terms, independent of how much we grow our business.
As the Sustainability Compliance Intern, you will be part of the project team to create the Waste Management Database. Waste database includes type of waste, waste volume, waste disposal technologies, waste generator and others. We also need to identify stakeholders on a country level, working in Informal sectors, segregators, aggregators, converters of waste into Raw material or products. This database can be used within IKEA organization especially by Business Teams to explore development opportunities for circular materials and products.
You’re the final-year student with strong interest in sustainability topics. You are proactive and love to ask ‘why…’ and ‘what if…’. You can communicate fluently in English and have a good computer skill (especially Excel). You enjoy working with research and information management.
