About the Liberal Arts Program

OPEN ACADEMIC PROGRAM

The liberal arts program is organized by the Department of Liberal Education – Faculty of Social Sciences – Hoa Sen University in cooperation with Saturday Coffee. In the spirit of liberal education currently being applied at several universities in Vietnam in general and at Hoa Sen University in particular, this program creates conditions to help different segments of the public access Academic knowledge and research have reached a universal level, and at the same time meet the aspirations of those who want to bring deep knowledge in their narrow field to all broad classes of society.

In 2020, the topic is limited to “Conceptual systems in the politics of Hannah Arendt”. Each month we will introduce a political concept from Arendt, one of the leading political philosophers of the twentieth century.

This program is led by Ms. Nguyen Thi Tu Huy, Head of the Department of Education and Training, who is responsible for the content and also participates as a speaker and speaker coordinator. Academic activities will take place at Saturday Coffee, a cultural space familiar to the public in Ho Chi Minh City.
