National Scientific Conference: “Personal Data in the Digital Era – Protecting Privacy Against Technological Risks”
Hoa Sen University, in collaboration with the Vietnam Lawyers Journal, is organizing a national scientific conference titled “Personal Data in the Digital Age: Privacy Protection Against Technological Risks”.
The conference serves as an academic forum for the exchange of viewpoints on legal, technological, and practical issues concerning personal data in the context of digital transformation, where privacy faces numerous new challenges.
PARTICIPANTS:
Lecturers, researchers, scientists, students, trainees, and postgraduate students from higher education institutions, academies, and research institutes; representatives of organizations and enterprises; and experts in relevant fields.

RESEARCH TOPICS
The conference invites scholarly papers addressing issues within the fields of legal frameworks, public policy, technology, and innovation, including but not limited to:
- The development and improvement of institutional and policy frameworks for personal data protection in the digital era;
- The impact of emerging technologies on privacy protection and data governance;
- Legal limitations and regulatory boundaries in the collection, processing, and use of personal data;
- Cross-border data governance, data transfer mechanisms, and the classification of core and important data in the context of digital transformation;
- Mechanisms for enforcement, regulatory oversight, and dispute resolution in cases of personal data violations;
- Ethical considerations in data usage and the corporate social responsibility of technology enterprises in safeguarding personal data;
- Personal data protection in digital taxation systems, including e-invoicing, digital identity systems, AI-based tax compliance risk assessment, and taxpayer privacy rights;
- Legal and practical compliance with personal data protection regulations in corporate environments;
- The intersection between the Personal Data Protection Law (2025) and the Artificial Intelligence Law (2025); and,
- Cybersecurity challenges and legal accountability in ransomware and cyber extortion incidents.
