HSU organizes a promotional workshop: Importance of Cybersecurity Awareness
To help students navigate digital risks and make informed decisions about well-being, the Youth Union and Student Association of HSU organized a workshop titled “Building Awareness and Prevention Skills for Cybersecurity Risks, Online Scams, Drugs, and E-Cigarettes”.
Importance of Cybersecurity Awareness
As technology advances, online scams continue to evolve, creating new challenges for personal safety and digital security. Meanwhile, drug use and e-cigarettes remain important issues affecting young people. Providing students with reliable information and practical skills to identify and prevent these risks helps promote responsible decision-making and a safer learning environment.
At the workshop, students will gain practical guidance on recognizing online scams and safeguarding our personal information and assets in cyberspace. Furthermore, we will learn about the harmful effects of drugs and e-cigarettes and how to recognize tactics used to lure or pressure people into using illicit substances.
Beyond raising awareness, the program will help us develop practical skills to reduce risk and respond appropriately in real-life situations. These skills will encourage more informed decision-making and a stronger sense of responsibility for personal safety, while contributing to a safe and healthy campus environment.
The workshop will feature Major Huynh Do Tan Thinh, Officer of the Ho Chi Minh City Public Security Department, who will share practical knowledge and insights into the topics covered in the program.
