In celebration of its 35th anniversary, Hoa Sen University introduces the “Hoa Sen – Memories in My Heart” contest, a space for the community to revisit its journey through heartfelt and authentic stories.

The contest welcomes current or former lecturers, staff members, students, and alumni of Hoa Sen University. Each entry is a snapshot of memory, from classroom moments and first projects to important milestones in learning and career development.

CONTEST INFORMATION

– Theme: 35 Years of Hoa Sen – A Journey of Shared Memories

– Target participants: current or former lecturers, staff members, students, and alumni of Hoa Sen University (HSU).

– Submission deadline: by May 15, 2026

– Submission Modality:

1. Participants submit articles, images, or videos [HERE].
2. Participants are allowed to submit multiple entries in different formats
3. Selected entries are published on the Hoa Sen Alumni fanpage.

1. First prize: VN$3,000,000 + Certificate
2. Second prize: VN$2,000,000 + Certificate

Each memory recounted not only preserves a personal story but also adds to the broader picture of Hoa Sen’s 35-year journey.

CONTEST RULES

“Hoa Sen – Memories in Me” Contest rules:

I. GENERAL RULES

1. Each entry is submitted by an individual. Eligible participants include current or former lecturers, staff members, students, and alumni of Hoa Sen University (HSU);
2. Participants may submit entries in any number and across multiple categories;
3. Entries must fall into one of three categories: images, videos, or articles. Each entry must belong to only one category;
4. The content of the entry must be relevant to the competition theme, content, and genre;
5. Contestants are solely responsible for the accuracy of their submissions, including all information, character images, materials, and audio used;
6. Contestants commit not to copy, infringe copyright, or violate the privacy rights of any organization or individual;
7. Contestants are fully responsible to the Organizing Committee and bear full legal responsibility for the authenticity of their entries and any arising legal issues (if any); and,
8. By submitting an entry, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with all contest rules.

II. IMAGE SUBMISSION RULES

1. Images submitted to the contest must comply with legal regulations and social norms, and must not contain offensive, violent, or controversial content.
2. Images may undergo basic editing (lighting, color, composition, etc.) but must not alter the original content, context, or message.
3. Entries may consist of a single image or a set of up to 5 images, submitted in ‘.jpg’ or ‘.png’ format. Each image file must not exceed 20 MB in size. Each entry must include a title and an image description of 50 – 150 words. Submitted images must be clear and relevant to the competition theme.

III. VIDEO SUBMISSION RULES

1. Entries must be original works created by the contestant, featuring a clear storyline, audio, and visual elements.
2. Entries must not infringe the copyright of any images, audio, or other materials used.
3. Editing and post-production effects are permitted; however, the content, events, and message must not be distorted.
4. Contestants must hold full legal rights to all elements included in their entries.
5. Entries must be short videos in ‘.mp4’ format, with a duration of 1 – 3 minutes, accompanied by a 50 – 150-word description submitted in an MS Word file (.doc or .docx).

IV. ARTICLE SUBMISSION RULES

1. Entries must be written by contestants themselves and must not copy, plagiarize, or infringe copyright in any form.
2. Entries must use clear Vietnamese language and appropriate expression, and must avoid offensive, distorted, or misleading content.
3. The Organizing Committee may edit spelling and presentation for communication purposes, without changing the original meaning of the article.

V. USAGE RIGHTS OF SUBMITTED ENTRIES

1. HSU has the right to use all entries (including winning and non-winning submissions) for communication purposes, competition promotion, showcasing the HSU’s image and activities, and related initiatives, both online and offline.
2. The use of submitted entries does not entail any obligations from HSU toward participants.
3. When using submitted entries, HSU is responsible for accurately acknowledging the author’s information and any related details (if applicable).
4. HSU reserves the right to edit, modify, redesign, or incorporate part or all of the submitted entries for communication purposes, provided that the core content, meaning, and message of the work are not distorted.
5. HSU shall have the right to store and use part or all of the submitted entries indefinitely from the time of submission.

VI. VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES

1. Any entry found to violate competition regulations shall be disqualified without prior notice.
2. HSU reserves the right to refuse acceptance, remove, or require revision of any entry deemed to be in violation or under dispute.
3. Should violations be identified after announcement of results, HSU reserves the right to revise results, revoke awards, and withdraw all related benefits without compensation or reimbursement.
4. Contestants shall bear full legal responsibility to HSU and the relevant authorities for their entries.
5. HSU may request proof of ownership or usage rights when necessary. Failure to provide valid documentation within the specified timeframe shall result in disqualification.
6. All decisions made by HSU are final and binding.
