From lesson planning and classroom interaction to assessment and personalized learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping every aspect of language education. In this context, how can educators harness its potential while maintaining academic integrity and meaningful learning experiences?

To answer this question, the Institute of English and International Integration at HSU, together with Oxford University Press, is organizing the workshop “AI in the English Language Classroom: A Partner for Students and Teachers”.

AI Innovations in Language Teaching

Designed with a practical focus, the workshop will examine how AI can enrich English language teaching while addressing the challenges that accompany its adoption. Participants will discover approaches to fostering digital literacy, critical thinking, communication skills, and more personalized learning experiences.

The program will also highlight best practices for promoting the ethical and responsible use of AI, ensuring that technology supports rather than compromises academic integrity.

Leading the workshop is Mr. Christopher Sheen, a teacher training expert from Oxford University Press, who has contributed to numerous English language education initiatives and professional development programs throughout Asia.

Furthermore, the workshop creates a valuable platform for lecturers, students, and language education practitioners to explore the latest AI trends in teaching, engage with international experts, and discover innovative approaches for the modern classroom.
