As international academic publishing becomes an increasingly important part of scholarly development, researchers need more than strong ideas to make their work stand out. They must also identify relevant research directions, make effective use of reputable academic databases, and understand the standards of international publication.

Recognizing this need, the Faculty of Law at Hoa Sen University (HSU), in collaboration with the Institute for Scientometrics and Research Administration Policies (SARAP), organized a workshop titled “Advancing Legal Research and International Publication”.

The workshop provided faculty members and students with an opportunity to explore scientometric methods, discover promising research directions, and strengthen their approaches to academic publishing.

Advancing Legal Research and International Publication

Featuring Dr. Le Van Ut, Vice President for Scientific Research and Dean of SARAP, the workshop will offer participants valuable insights into scientometrics and its role in academic research. Furthermore, we will have the opportunity to explore promising research directions and discover practical approaches to identifying research topics through reputable scholarly databases.

Beyond evaluating the quality of individual publications, scientometrics can offer valuable insights into the development of an academic field and the research opportunities it presents. The workshop will introduce us to approaches for assessing the scientific impact of international publications in law and identifying research directions with potential for international recognition.

Moreover, the workshop offers an opportunity to learn how to use reputable scholarly databases effectively, particularly Web of Science, which HSU has licensed for academic research. With expert guidance, faculty members and students will learn to identify emerging research topics, track academic trends, and develop research ideas with strong publication potential.

HSU invites faculty members, lecturers, students, and other interested individuals to attend the workshop, broaden your research perspectives, and connect with others who share their academic interests.
