On January 8, 2026, continuing the scientific research workshop series for students, “Literature Review: Theoretical Frameworks & Models” equipped learners with the skills to navigate academic literature effectively, synthesize key ideas, and construct a solid theoretical framework for their research topics.

Literature Reviews in Scientific Research

Under the guidance of Dr. Tran Linh Dang, Lecturer at the Faculty of Business, Hoa Sen University (HSU), the workshop provided students with a deeper understanding of how literature reviews shape theoretical frameworks and research models. His instructions emphasized that an effective literature review was not a simple summary, but a thoughtful process of analyzing, comparing, and connecting studies to clarify research gaps and define the value of the research topic.

One of the workshop’s highlights was its practical roadmap for identifying research gaps, which involved organizing key themes, recognizing patterns and shortcomings in existing studies, and developing suitable theoretical frameworks and models. Through these processes, students learned how to write literature reviews that were focused, logical, and tightly linked to their research aims.
